another component to check for rough running..
I can't remember ever seeing this in the list of things to check for poor running or idle.. the IGN COIL replay in the engine bay main fuse/relay box. the pins can become rusted or loose, certainly worth a check (obviously it supplies power to the coils). I saw this on another forum just the other day, the guy posted it because it was the cause of his bad running / hesitation .... checked cleaned, reseated and problem gone.. :)

performace upgrade to 500bhp
I'm certainly no expert on upgrading... I'd say, intercoolers, slight increase on injectors, ecb and get it re-mapped... that should be plenty of power. you really don't need 500 for the Zed to be impressive. i guess the main point is just how much do you want to pay... and make it the best you can for that money without killing it... LOL... chasing BHP is only going to end in tears and you'll never be satisfied.. :)

speak to Silverline, Noz or Jimmer... and you'll need a new clutch.... i doubt if you'll do it cheaper than that but I would't bet if from the US (well not that way) in case you get stung for VAT... the other issue is how long a standard Zed engine will last with that much power... I went for forged internals. don't turn yours into a money pit Zed like mine.. LOL..

Front indicators not working
hey, let the FSM be your friend... http://z32.wikispaces.com/Factory+Service+Manual the EL section has wiring diagrams that tag earth points with codes, these can be transposed to the cabling diagram.... but like dkboro121 says, take the indicators off and check the bulb holders. (we assume the front side repeaters on the wing are still working).

might be the clutch bearing... aside from that check the tension of all the belts and check for wear as well.

exhaust
easy isn't the word I would use.... since there isn't really anything easy to do on these cars... the question is: "How difficult is it to fit new exhaust manifolds on 300zx twin turbo" I've seen a couple of posts and a guide about doing it there is also info in the FSM for it (can't remember if its with engine in or out)... anyway it can be done, you need access from above and below and you will swear a lot. I'd say Jeff, Silverline or Jimmer would be able to say for sure. the FSM "engine Mechanical" section page 34 onward for turbo removal indicates that it can be done with the engine in the car... remove with turbo attached to exhaust manifold.. http://stadzport.com/FSM/EM_Engine_Mechanical.pdf Oh, and good luck!! :)

power cut out
did you say you did the boost leak test? you need to do that as a bad enough one will case similar symptoms. so I would take it back to basics... check and re-check all electrical connectors for corrosion and contact (particularly PTU & CAS) and make sure they all have their metal clips. (but make sure you check TPS, injectors and coils as well, some are really had to get to and need to be careful getting the metal clips off) check the timing with a timing light. check and balance the TBs. the 6Ps post is a good one to use for instructions and the other stuff is in the tech section.. also see the FSM.
