Just saw a thread on mileage and it got me wondering,... On an original engine (mods or not) whats your mileage before a rebuild (and we are talking major engine out rebuild...)

Top thread The 350 IMO is a nice looking car both in and out, Would have one if I could afford it...cant compare it to my 300 (which I can afford...(talking b0ll0x now)_) but I reckon Nissan have looked at the competition (Steve-0's post highlights this) and not the past success of the 'z' so it should be judged in it's own right,...for me...love it....

Theres not a lot of space there but a V8 in the Z would be a good project to do. Ferk, reckon it would be a bit of a beastie actually....hehe....do it....go on.....

Absolutely did the right thing mate...zx or BMW 318...my daughter would tell you the maths on that one...What can you do to it...check out the FAQ on body stuff and the traders section..as for the engine...as its a NA less to worry about and therefore less TLK needed (the TT'ss can need a lot of care)..As a NA its putting out over 200HP so I believe...enjoy :hyper:

Ahhh...V8...maybe less BHP but the torque will make you smile :bow:

Having said that I had a BMW 525 with all the necessary gadgets and I have to say it was an absolute gem of a car, stunning auto box and was still super smooth and reliable with over 100k on the clock. prefer my z though :dance:

The MOT checks operation and alignment, guess as long as both are OK then not a prob. As for insurance, if you modify/alter from manufacturers spec without telling them then they can say modified and you didnt tell them, Sounds petty on their part but they do ask you if ANY modifications.

Saw this today on my way out to Bradwell !!!! Driver ignored me....I was in mine too!!!! (perhaps he did'nt see me?)

Sorted, a lot of pain but sorted.

Anyone know how to get em out without stripping down the entire front end. Did a search but didnt find what I wanted. (did see one talking about 4 retaining bolts from under but cant get to the back ones) Thanx.

every night I drive mine through a bath of WD40 which I had specially made for my Z. This bath leads into my air conditioned garage with its own independant heating system with a back up generator in case of power failure. It cost me a lot of money but for the peace of mind it was worth it. I guess I could of invested in a newer car but,,,hey, I like the smell of rust every time I open the door of my old banger. I start her up and let her smoke for a few minites (gotta get the turbo's lubricated) before I top her up with a bit of oil (this is important before I drive in case she seizes up) and thrash her down the road ...like 007 with the oil slick pouring out behind....aint no one going to beat me without traction eh? Stilll, she is a bit old now.... I did try and get an MOT the other day but they all laughed as she is far too rusty, they are all like this so I hear Any more questions??

Done the passenger side today, easy job I heard.....ferking NOT!!!!. had to cut em off as were all as stiff as ferk....been looking at the 2 on the drivers side...the front one....no prob....the other one....looks like a right ******* of a job..looked at TTnets advice,, sounds easy....any tips/advice please????

Same as any performance car, needa a bit of care, no reason why it shouldnt go on forever. If you buy a 13 year old car its going to have a bit of wear and tear. If u want a problem free car then buy a new one with a warranty. Mine, new wheel bearing, new rear section exhaust, HICAS gaiter, oh, and had to buy wipers for it to pass the MOT today (no probs)...now the fuel bill, thats another matter...hehe :shock:
