funkjunky: See post No.8! I'll be there. Won't have time to clean the car though :(
  3. Got a mate to put my wheels on for me! A damn big improvement over my old stock wheels. Pic attached but it was getting dark. If we get any more sunshine this year I'll take some more pics- apart from anything else, my ride photos are now completely out of date :slap: Anyway- cheers for the wheels StellaZ! :D

The reading meet on Wednesday is a sticky... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=73463 I'll be going, not sure what time yet. burf2000- if you sort out something round yours I'll deffo pop round. I reckon I'm about 30s from you!
  5. Short answer- no. Fuelling is all carefully controlled by the ECU. Obvious candidates are MAF, O2 sensors and timing (I only put the last one coz that was my problem). Worst case, your injectors are buggered (I'd say highly unlikely! :) ). Stick it on a conzult and it should give you an indication. Mark
  6. I can't make JAE this year, but I may well be up for this- not 100% but I'll try! Mark

Good for her- it's admirable when people say bollux to something that causes them personal pain and do something for a greater good. More so for you as it's so personal.
  8. At least I think it was Fleet road- I did a big loop and saw a Zed somewhere along the way! I was in my black Zed and flashed- you waved back :D
  9. Oh, and I got mine from Z-Tech. Can't remember exact price- £70-ish each I think.
  10. From the top- at least you can almost see what you're doing :) Try Andy P's site, I'm sure I got the instructions from a link on his site.
  11. Happened to me a while back. It felt like cardboard the material was so rotten- my theory is that it degrades with time, and with spilt fluids which inevitably pool on it, it just sags and if it doesn't catch on something first will eventually fall apart. I'm riding without at the moment. Personally I'd think it's less about air-flow (but will gladly be proven wrong!) and more about deflecting road debris away from the engine.
  12. You're after opinions so here's mine: :) Uncool- don't do it! LOL
  13. Looking good. :) My car's always had mud spats and initially I didn't like them, but now I think if you're keeping stock bodywork down the sides and back, then they help add something.

techstar- like the chrome trim :) Nice touch.
  15. I needed various UJs and extension bars to get socket drive out of the engine bay, then a 6' long pipe on the ratchet to give the leverage.
  16. Got my membership pack today  excellent job chaps! One thing though- I didn't get stickers either. As it happens I don't need them as I have some already- I thought I'd mention it as it seems a few others didn't get them either. Cheers again, Mark
  17. Well I can't fit my new wheels yet (doctors orders- no lifting...) but at least I've managed to tidy up the wheel inserts. Just a quick sand and spray-up- the finish isn't outstanding but that's because I didn't think it worthwhile getting them perfect when you won't even see the slightly rough finish :) Just got to wait about another week before I can risk fitting the wheels. Ho-hum...

Farnborough gate & chavs?? Never! :slap: they camp there 24 hours, 7 days a week :) The Crown and Cushion on Minley Road (Farnb) has a big car-park, we've had a few meets there in the past. I'll be up for a local meet as well. I can't make Tuesdays or Thursdays but any other time and I'll be there :D You chaps going to the Reading meet on Wednesday?

Ooo! I can probably make it for a change! :D  :nana2:
  20. Slightly unnerving the first time, but simply because you'll actually appreciate what your car's doing when you floor it to the redline :) Good luck!
  21. My girlfriend is: Furry Bignuts   You'd think I'd have found that out by now... And using my middle name, I'm: Twitchy Acorn Short of An Oaktree This gets better and better!
  22. If you go back to stock your car will feel robbed of power! Stay aftermarket :D
  23. LOL Colonel Curlyarse
  24. Regardless of who you book through, I think there's a sweet spot about 3 months before you want to fly- that's when things seem to be cheapest. Haven't fuel and taxes gone up a bit recently too? That won't help.
  25. Nah you can't break Bubbles' old car, that's just plain wrong!
