Next was to return the engine bay back to standard colors but the NSX-R spec. Originally it looked like this: now its looks like this:

While I was at it, I installed these NSX-R style mesh inserts. I'm going to order the genuine NSX-R ones at some stage, but for now I think these will do. The genuine ones are very very expensive, roughly £600 for the pair, so for what you get its hard to justify the price difference.

So to keep in line with my never ending NSX-R Transformation. I have added new silver/chrome wheel studs. After going through many photos of NA1 NSX-R I noticed that the wheels studs used were silver/chrome compared to black that used on standard NSX's. So I ordered them up and now installed.

As requested by Daffy! Heres some info on my NSX, its a JDM NSX which are remaped differently from factory production in Japan. JDM 3.0l NSX's have roughly the same BHP as UK 3.2's, they also came as standard with the close ratios unlike earlier UK cars. Well the white car is a Calibra, easily spotted lol, Jimmer I cant remember the exact cost then but think it was over £20k, Yeah it some something else then, not many Z's were around and very few 400bhp car of the same value.

Dave believe it or not, the badge on the front panel said "Strosek" and was fitted and recessed in the same groove as the OEM badge. It was from memory a metallic black and had "Strosek" in white

Not sure if there are or how many old original ZX members there are on here, but my first ZX was in 1995 I think, it was a UK Manual car is yellow which was 400bhp built be a company called skeet motorsport. It was a max power issue car also back in the day. Some old pics, quality aint great as I didnt have a digital camera back then lol

Yes very common from what I have seen based on late spec Japanese super coupes as I call them, which are the ZX, GTO, RX7 and in a much higher bracket, the NSX.

That car would probably cost around £13k give or take any discount, exchange rate and fees on there side.

Gary I read that KH3 is called "Onyx Super Black" which is the paint code of my 95 car. I also like the midnight purple car, there are 2 available that I know off in Japan but not cheap. And this being my 300th post matches the great cars of the club lol

Just had a scan through the site Gary using the translator and its not a bad read! For example: EV1 paint code is a special order and called, Lightning Yellow. Also learned my car has UV cut glass and actually noticed the OEM decal is still on my window which says "UV CUT"

My good friend replied back and said that KR4 is called "Sonic Silver Metallic" and very kindly sent me this also, maybe worth adding to one of the FAQ pages if its not there: http://history.nissan.co.jp/FAIRLADY/9810MC/HTMLS/color.html

Hi Baz, Is that what it says in the pic I posted? or is that you taking a guess at what the color is? Machine Platinum sounds like it fits the bill!
