  1. So where's the Cliff Richard one then :nelson:
  2. I still keep thinking about getting another 205Mi16 as a runabout. Awsome cars, and mine would just drive away from any Z on the really twisty stuff I used to drive up in scotland.
  3. Just go for the noble Mark, it'll be about 500 times the car any Z will ever be. I might need to have a drive just to be convinced mind ..... If only they did a non turdo one.
  4. Lol, cheers Mike forgot you'd taken that photo. Hopefully it'll be a lot more sorted in a few months. Will probably have forgotton how to drive RWD by then mind!! Any chance you can count the turns lock to lock on your NA rack for me? Forgot about it when you were here.
  5. Yes, more of the pressure in the combustion chamber gets past the rings and into the crank case. The breather system then can't handle it all so you get more oil leaks, dip stick blowing out etc.
  6. Have you had the PCV valves / hoses replaced? Sounds like you have high crankcase pressure which is either going to be bad PCV / breather system or the rings are worn.
  7. Mark, the ones that were reversed on yours were VTC solenoid and Knock sensor. It was rich as it was running on the Knock maps and due to some 'creative plumbing' on the vacuum lines.
  8. Fuel temp sensor fault can cause these symptoms too, worth checking that.
  9. 2 way diff is a bit scary under deceleration, only really good if you only brake in a straight line! I'd contact cusco and see if they will convert it to 1.5 or 1 way for you.
  10. Declared the Z SORN last night as of 1st of Sept, so I guess now I've really got no excuse to get started pulling it to bits. Looks quite daunting when you see the job list!
  11. Think too many of these places were just bolt-on merchants with no real understanding of half the stuff. With the exception of Peter, none of them ever see to really know much on engine theroy etc. Just sort of, 'well HKS say these bits will make 26million bhp'. Best sticking to real tuners with proven race experience IMO like BBR, Puma, Emerald, CTM etc if you're after top quality work.
  12. I used to get that too, always wondered where it was from!
  13. Usually bosch / lucas service places can do it. Sidefeeds are usually more difficult to do though, might need them in a fuel rail.
  14. Could be a MAF or CAS problem? Is it a dead cut or more like a power loss? Probably worth hooking up a conzult then watching what all the sensors do as it happens.
  15. Not sure about the pistons, but the pad area is much bigger. If you need new disks, I think 3G now do a std size GTR 2 piece for about the same cost as the genuine brembo 1pc.
  16. Yes, and you can set up audible warnings / boost cut on most controllers.
  17. I personally prefer the greddy ones, but either is good. The AVCR can be fiddly to set up.
  18. Yeah, I'll take some pics and post something up.
  19. was thinking more of something like these:
  20. Not sure TBH, can't see it being too much use. I took it off because I was going to put cooling ducts on there, but then couldn't easily get air to them. Guess I might have another go when I bin the intercoolers.
  21. You can remove the shield without taking the hub off by slicing through the 'ring' around the hub with a dremmel or even a chisel.
  22. It's been fine. Less scary moments TBH just got to be on the ball when braking hard. I think the big problem is just that the system is poor to start with then dangerous with bigger callipars. Did try to look at adapting a skline setup or find an aftermarket one, but was just too much hassle.
