  1. Gut instinct would say cas. What makes you say it's 180 degrees out?? If not id probably check tps maf and ptu
  2. I hope it not another engine problem thats going to cost loads +vat! James you poor bugger, when you going to catch a break!
  3. Can you remember what fluid youve got in the box?
  4. Unless youve done 30k miles in two years, id say its probably not fluid related, unless you were driving it very hard and the fluid has over heated.
  5. When did you last do a gearbox fluid change chap?
  6. give her some ear plugs and tell her to stop winging! Either that or invest is some sound deadening for the boot
  7. Its all about reducing unsprung weight. As someone has said, putting lighter pulleys on reduces the amount of effort the engine requires to actually rotate those pulleys. Basically it just makes the engine more efficient. Yes they do need specific belts, you can either get them from AMS directly, or conceptz or z1
  8. Yeah that sounds cool bud. Ive been given an estimated finish time for the build of mid july, itching to get it back From the research ive done, the Z32 MAF is capable of measuring MORE air than the Q45 and the Mustang Mafs (from what ive found on TT.net and 300zxclub.com)
  9. This is something im going to invest in once i have got the zed back from Jimmer. Great bit of kit
  10. Saw your engine yesterday Anthony when i was dropping my zed off..... Looks tidy!
  11. Thought i would give this old thread a quick bump considering the current wet weather! Having done a few brake upgrades recently and with a bit of reflection on the results, i would have to say that the stock rubber brake lines (no over 20 years old for some) area a deffo must for improving the braking system of the zed. All that effort that is put into the brake pedal, and the amount that the stock 20 year old rubber hosing will flex will put a serious dent in the zeds braking performance Worth a read for those who havent seen this thread before
  12. Are to saying my address details are worn more than your last internet bride? You really should think more of yourself chap, your not bad looking for an umpa lumpa with a carrot deficiency!
  13. To be honest mate, I didnt ask for it to be declared as such, i was expecting a £400 bill. And as they posted it, it would be them forking out for replacement not me. Not that im complaining mind!
  14. Total bill came to £4520 including the conversion costs that the bank charge. Customs was, shall i say, cheaper than it should have been thanks to a VERY conservative price declaration on the import slip. Less than £50 yes mate, they came with the piston and rod combo Oh and if anyone would like to know who i used, contact Coz at Concept zed, he was unbeleivebly helpfull and VERY prompt in returning emails. Cant recommend them enough! Thanks for the kind comments guys
  15. I'm already in trouble with the Mrs, she want happy when she came to bed last night to find a box of pistons on her side of the bed. Lol
  16. Yes mate, theyre fairly small in the grand scheme of things, smaller than GT28R's, but theyre significantly bigger than stock. Recon i take Jimmers title as most powerful 4 bolt turboed zed in the UK Cheers, no bud, just saving my nuts off Cheers chap
  17. Now the internals. Ill be running ACL Duraglide conrod and crank bearings (not pictured) with these Eagle H Beam rods with ARP studs: And these GORGEOUS Wiseco 87.5mm forged pistons with ultra glide side coating. Theyre fricking lovely!!! To say im chuffed would be an understatement!!! Bring it on!!!
  18. And these Alloy toyz 3 inch expansion turbo elbow/downpipe combo. They are gorgeous in the metal! More AMS parts now, this time full lightweight underdrive pulley kit. The weight precisely sweet FA: Fuelling the whole thing will be these Deatschwork 550cc injectors To keep the boost nicely buttoned up, Cometic headgasket:
  19. Today i shall be mostly feeling like a kid in a candy shop. I dont think ive said "ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh" to myself so many times in such a short period of time. I feel it is my duty to share pictures of these parts with you. I shall spare you the tedious stuff like general gaskets, pumps and switches..... So here is the interesting stuff: A general overview of lovelyness; First up is these, Z1 Uprated Side Mount intercoolers: To make the most of these (and the other parts) 2.5 inch bore intercooler piping finished in powdercoated glass black with new couplers and T bolt jubilees. Even at stock boost, these have proven to give 15fwhp, never mind on bigger tubs with more boost: Which will be adapted slightly to fit my HKS SSQV dump valves (already on the car) so new mounting flanges were needed Next up are these Garrett GT525 .54A/R turbos Attached to these turbos will be these AMS Cast manifolds:
  20. Cheers chap Email sent john
  21. Bump Would someone by kind enough to PM John and let him know im trying to get hold of him Many thanks
  22. TBH, both would be a down grade from a decent quality TT Zed. And to be honest, id say the zed is on par with a 32 or 33 GTR's in stock trim
  23. Hey john can i have your email address chap, ive got a few mapping questions for you Cheers Nick
  24. Went passed a green 96 zed on the way home from work on the way passed Blackbushe Airport, I was the biker who went passed with thumbs up
