On a lighter note, i have converted back to the ways of japanese performance, which i may hasten to add is still two wheels, and now a proud owner of a 98 Honda FIREBLADE, and man does it go some! nice! now you lot dont laugh coz im arleady kicking myself!!! comeing home from the nigth shift on friday morning at about 0430 in the morning, down the M3, which currently has a horrid 50 mph limit and speed cameras to match. As expected traveling 38 miles at this speed, in the fog, you start to ache, as you do and was alot on the too tired to ride side of things. so i thought what a good idea, ill stop at fleet services and get some fags and a coffe. so as i was going round the main service road a took my right hand off to ease my wrists. unfortunatly when i wen to put my hand on my handlebar, whislt yourning i may add, i kinda missed, completely lost my balance ( as expected when you put a limb down on something and it not being there all your body weight tends to go with it). ha ha ha i here you say! gits so basically my body went into survival mode and went stiff, pulling my left arm in slightly sending into a kerb, highsiding me off and sinding my monnie into a 10 foot deep ditch, destroying my leathers in the process. arse. luckily i missed every bit of road furniture and all thw trees so the monnie is reasonable unscathed, a few peripherals and a dent in the tank. oh well. i came off not too bad my self a load of cuts and bruises and a sprained ankle. result. couldnt have asked for a better off at 35 mph. and destroyed the tea tray as well. hack saw has already been out and the monnie is distinctly shorter. nice feel free to laugh Oh and i lost my phone in the process, so all who have my number can you text me and let me know your numbers again. Jay and Si can you give us a ring as well. not spoke in ages mate be nice to catch up __________________

some posted saying they have PM'd Kenny, so i suppose we best wait for a repsonse, thought it would be an idea to get a general concenses to find out whos up for it.

thank god for that. i checked this thread at 4pm and saw the amount of views and no responses, couldnt belive it. I think Slick Pete has the right idea, if someone knows Kenny or any members of his family, then what they want would be the best action to take would be. I think short term contributions would be good, wheter it be flowers or reaths etc, but if we can do something that will take the test of time that would be fantastic. Ill have a think about how im going to arrange the actual collection or event and will keep this thread posted. I dont personally know Kenny, to my knowlege, saying that the amount of people ive actually met through this club is uncountable, but im sure he felt some sort of re-assurance to know that so many people are thinking about him and are willing to do something to help him out CheerZ peeps Nick

after reading the uttlerly gobsmackingly sad news from KennyZ i feel compelled to something. I dont know what whether it be a fund raising event or a collection or something but i just feel as a club we should do something for him and his kids. I am more than willing to organise something, and more than welcome to take some suggestions on what we could do. As I have never met Kenny nor live anywhere near him, im also happy to hand the torch over to someone who knows Kenny or his family once things get started. Chaps, this is what being on an owners club is all about, not just daft banter or even dafter tekkie questions. we all have a common interest but we all need to there for each other in times of need etc. All ideas and suggestions are Welcome Nick

so did i, unfortunatly i didnt expect to have to be buying a house so soon. I still lone driving it, but my finances are on life support because of it. The mai cost is insurance at the moment, My company still takes note of crashesd over 5 years not 3. When im settled in to the house and have got used to the costs of owning your own place, ill have nother, no doubt about it, thats if i live that long. I will be putting a for sale post up soon if anyones interested in it. Everything is spot on now, bar some paint works thats being done soon. Its going to be a sad day when it goes. :(

Well its nearly time to sell the zed, its going for spray work some time next month, in the mean time ive just bought my replacement, and im really starting to question my sanity! The Spec is as follows: Ducati Monster 750 '00 W reg 26K Met Black with a Bronze frame and wheels and the best bit............. cheerz gaz, always nice to know that it works out for some people. problem number 2 has arrisen this morning, the missus! not only have i got to contend with my self, but i got her breathing down my neck now! arse at the end of the day its all about money. if i can find 2.5k i need for a full recon then ill probabaly keep it, but i cant see me finding this money when ive just bought a house never mind cheers mate nicki

after much consideration i have come up with the following options for the zed, all have one thing in common which i will reveal at the end 1 sell as it is ( which to be honest will be biting my nose off to spite my face) 2 Find a good second hand engine and stick that in 3 Find a recon "short engine" (ie block internals and heads) and link it up with the new bits off mine 4 by a fully reconned engine and stick that in 5 do a full rebuild my self - which i prob wont, as far as im concerned once an engines had it, its had it! Option 2 is looking like the most cost effective at the moment and less time consuming oh and the common factor, its still going for sale, unless i go the fully recon route, which to be honest i dont think i can afford, but wish i had done that in the first place! doh! anyway, thank you to all who have posted on her, out of all the owners club ive been apart of, ive made the most friends on here cheerz chaps nick

the thing is which really pisses me off is that shes worth sweet FA with an engine that isnt sound which really hacks me off.
