  4. i reckon because 2nuts were missing on the viscous/waterpump pulley has put excess strain on pump bearings!!
  5. or a more sensible idea grenade launcher?
  6. if your starter is making a grinding noise then you need a replacement, what im saying is repetive starting may damage the flywheel/ringgear on the engine/gearbox and you dont want that! greg
  7. stick with what nissan designed for ngk on this one!!
  8. if its making a grinding scraping noise, its your starter!!alternator is a charging motor, has no effect on starting, all it does is regulates battery power check teeth on starter,if you carry on trying to start it you may damage the flywheel/ringgear so get it checked soon as
  9. its always a good time to do the timing belt,if you have no record of it being done, then i would make it first port of call otherwise you could end up with some expensive engine work if it snaps :(
  10. that is the bolts so you can rotate the turbo,in other words clock it to the ideal position, obviously the supplier has forgot to retighten them after clocking them to the correct angle for the 300zx,just retighten them, but trial fit them and make sure the turbo elbow does not catch against the rocker covers or cylinder head!or stick out at the incorrect angle for the intercooler pipe to sit in elbow HTH greg
  11. thanks steve, recieved today, must comend you for the vast improvment in the role you have taken on,top man!!
  12. yes ;) read my reply to yours! check your oil level aswell,to much can cause it to blowby in to the plenum
  13. if you have a large amount of oil in your plenum, then im almost 100% sure its breather related so check the pcv valves, best way to check is to get a pen or thin screwdriver and press valve in on pcv,if it sticks and stays in then this will mean instead of any recirculation it is being pressurised back through the intake and ending up using the plenum as an oil catch hence your oily deposits replace both valves and 5hoses and it should clear the problem up ;)
  14. chris is on holiday bud,we will get him to post up a better organized plan of action,im going and dont have a fookin clue  no disrespect to anyone,as i know its a ballache to set al this up ;)
  15. yes they will IIRC there the same fitment
  16. sorry didnt make it guys went down cornwall instead!
  17. makes no odds,if you have any issues at the front with toe in or camber problems, only cure is ajustable upper control arms, then the people setting up front can get it within spec, otherwise there is no ajustment at the front, also some nice rose jointed tension arms make the whole front end feel that much tighter,or replaced with polybush the rear has some ajustment of the tie rods, which can be screwed in/out greg
  18. its bridged so you can get at it north or southbound ;) :hyper:

check the hose coming of the balance bar shown in pic,you may have to follow it back to check for leaks
  24. clarytyn works for me,availabe at all chemists etc
  25. greg replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - 300ZX Related
you more than likely have a leak from the boost pipe, check driverside of the balance bar which it connects to,this will effect your idle check for leaks on the hose,or if your gauge has stopped working, check the hose has not become disconected
