no fix, just replacement viscous fan just the clutch not the fan blade,
  5. i think 2 of the bolts are near on impossible to get at,also the gearbox to engine bracket gets in the way slightly,im not sure but have a look at maybe dropping the crossmember, but i still think you will struggle,so engine out

i [osted this a while ago, easy trst, the 300 fan normally whines when it fooks up bit like the misses indoors basic principle is the fan should have some resistance when cold if you try and turn it,if it spins freely its proper foooooked, and as said when the rpm is increased the fan does not operate at same speed and in traffic it will spin slower than your idle rpm
  7. yeh hopefully,we can save on burgers, and use si
  8. its leaking from the filter bracket itself not no gasket,if a secoind hand engine is fitted this may go un-noticed,if theres a hairline crack then shit happens unfortunatly, warranty on a second hand engine nah LOL the only seals you replace that make common sense, externally is the rear, front cam, sprocket seals,if your replacing every gasket then you may aswell rebuild the whole damn thing

it makes your water wetter  millers also do the same thing, and it really works, always good to keep temps down
  10. nice one les,car looks topZ mate :D
  11. oil filter tree housing/oil filter bracket as said above
  12. fingers crossed bud,she will look even sweeter than she did already ;)
  13. rodders you have a manual, all the above are under the impression you mean auto,uk 300s have a small cooler for the manual, but the j-spec doesnt so to answer your question you dont need a cooler for the box as it doesnt have one same oil can be used for the gearbox&diff 75w90 is suitable,if you have any crunchy syncros or crunches you may opt for redline mt-90 available from demon tweeks, approx 4 bottles of it,only downside to mt-90 is in short term it can help improve the feel of the gearbox, due to its consitancy it may promote premature wear, but its all hear say greg
  14. simple remove hood that goes over dash 2 posi screws, look at back behind clocks and you will see a black box, with a green lead coming of it with a bullet connector on,simply pull apart, replace in reverse NO BING BANG BONG ;)
  15. check the bulb,it has probably blown, remove instrment panel to fix i think you may mean CAT overheat,id guess if an aftermaket exhaust was fitted, common problem is the 2sensors that screw in to the middle section seize in there, most just cut them, and if you have a straight-through exhaust there not needed, remove bulb, whilst your checking door light,or check sensors underneath greg
  16. happy birthday bud ;)
  17. yep were based inbetween newbury and swindon, ring ryan on 07968166640,and have a chat all the best greg
  18. have you had the under panel apart under the steering wheel,or recently installed a sound systym, normally a short between either the ignition systym or your wires from the stereo!
  19. sounds more like ptu fault, dirty injector connectors/spark plug/coilpack connectors have you pulled each coilpack out with car running, this will determine which cylinder is missing, all you need to do is pull a coilpack plug out. if the car does not drop in revs or try to cut out then you have found the culprit cylinder, from there you need to check for spark on that cylinder, check injector connection, then s plug, and coilpack
  20. i was always to skint to put a full tank of fuel in  ,used the car weekends only and burnt the optimax of in about 5miles of driving or 160mph run depends which came sooner :D

should be between 2-4 when warm and may sit around 6-8 when cold, due to pressure being higher when cold when at full throttle pressue should increase to 6-8 ,but the stock gauge gives poor readings due to the tiny pinhole stock sender which can be opended up slightly using a v.fine drill bit,or better replace for a better aftermarket gauge like defi or greddy
  22. tip for rear discs dave-there are 2 acsess holes using a suitable bolt if you do the bolts up,it will push the discs of the hub,and also make sure the handbrake is off so the rear shoes are sat in off the hub
  23. thats the thing they will fit upside down fine, only problem is gravity makes bleading near on impossible
