34 ecu side
Sometimes you just have to work it out yourself. Looks pretty easy to do - as long as you get the right pins !!!

34 ecu side
You could get a boost controller with a gauge built-in, like Blitz SBC-iD etc. Anyway, research indicates it goes between pin 23 and 50 :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=diag&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=2&design=default&total=4 http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/ecuharness.html

Mini-midweek meet anyone? Nr Stanstead?
Most mid-week evenings are ok for me. Some people will have shift work etc to consider. Useful pub that does good food opposite my house - most of my regular visitors will be aware of it (!).

Insomnia, tinnitus etc. Anyone suffer from it?
On a good night I might sleep 4 hours without interruption, usually less than 3. Not sure I'm an insomniac, I just don't sleep much, at least not until after the alarm has gone off. Problem is I usually feel dreadful for about 12 hours a day. Drinking helps me pass out, but not sleep.

Guage lights not working!!??
Lots of those LED bulb replacements are very cheaply made and don't fit the holders at all well. The fact that they were flickering beforehand and yet others were ok is evidence of that. Sometimes they just need a bit of a jiggle !

http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/uk-speed-cameras-to-monitor-every-stretch-of-road/ http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/25/2560.asp UK Speed Cameras to Monitor Every Stretch of Road After a series of trials, the British Home Office is set to approve the SPECS3 “distance over time speed measuring device.” SPECS3 uses an ISDN connection to transmit data between any two cameras in the entire road network, without the need for the expensive dedicated connection. The system can also track drivers as they change lanes and as they switch between different roads and highways. The Transport and Climate Change commission estimated that new cameras could monitor every driver on 31,136 miles of principal rural and urban roads for £443,687,656 ($769,693,415). Chicken feed. The commission noted that “enforcing the 70 MPH limit using SPECS would pay for itself within around two years.” (Between 2000 and 2005, a single camera in Nottinghamshire generated 76k tickets worth £4.2m/$7.2m). Once established nationwide, a central government Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) server will store records on all vehicle movements for five years. Work on the data center in north London began in 2005; officials expect real-time, nationwide tracking capability by January.

Whats a good laptop for about £800
Given a choice I would stick with my IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad, I have several of them now and am hoping to acquire another soon ! Doubt whether they fit in the £800 bracket though.

my poor UK TT!
I got a set of four, (2 for each side) for less than that.
-
How smooth?
I have a feeling I wrote that. No engine is completely smooth, but there is a noticable difference between running on 5 and 6 cylinders, which is quite obvious when touching the door sill.

Paul, That's a real shame. But the sills aren't that expensive you know ....

Anyone else got heated auto folding mirrors?
An S1 may not have the wiring in the loom for the S2 heaters, so that could be a challenge. Getting the auto fold to work is not such a big deal, it could be done on ignition switch or through an alarm, but a few minutes thought and some wiring would be involved. Any decent alarm installer should be able to do it for you.

Anyone else got heated auto folding mirrors?
I think mine has heated mirrors, but it's been a long time since I had to take one apart. I was going to get the auto fold fixed into the alarm (along with full closure) but that's another job I never got around to finishing !

Anyone else got heated auto folding mirrors?
I didn't realise any auto folded with ignition off, they can be made to do it with an alarm. Maybe someone has had a fiddle !

Yep

rear sills
Look like they would be difficult to refit as a single lump. When you buy replacements they come in 3 pieces so that each layer can be welded in.
