Don't think so - the speedo is just an indicator of the signal/voltage. I would say that if there are speedo indication problems AND power steering problems, then look to the signal into the speedo cluster, or the speed sensor itself.

If you just want your ECU socketed and use someone else's chip that's fine with me. However, I don't really understand how you have 555cc injectors on a standard ECU, without some modifications. It just wouldn't run right.

I've run the ECU in my car and it's perfectly fine. ECUs don't have intermittent problems, it has to be the wiring somewhere.

Ok, I could be wrong, BUT if you have the ECU check light up then it should have an error code. If we know what that code is then we will know where to direct our attention.
