  1. All I know is that since installing the full 350Z setup, my major limitation is now tyre grip. Granted I do have a set of cheap tyres on it currently, but it's really easy to lockup in the dry. Of course when they lock up - that's when the slow ABS comes into play !
  2. I think I saw that same white Z around Dunmow or Bishops Stortford a week or so ago.
  3. A mate of mine is driving to Poland soon, that looks like fun. Back to the reflective jacket - it needs to be stored inside the car, where you can put it on before you get out. I notice that lots of Frenchies leave it hung over the back of the passenger seat - that way the plod don't stop you to see if you have one and then nick you for stepping out to remove it from the boot etc.
  4. I think on the tight turns the 350 would be quicker. Also no turbo lag to deal with
  5. If you're just using Nero for burning CDs etc, there are alternatives.
  6. Sorted ! Welcome.
  7. Look very closely at the rear demister, there may be some scratches or breaks in the metal, these can be repaired with conductive paint and will only cost a few quid.
  8. Sounds like vibration could be associated with the prop centre bearing and/or gearbox mount.
  9. As Danny said, anti-roll bars make a big difference. Changing the shocks make a difference too, but you don't have to replace the springs unless yours are shot (unlikely) or unless you specifically want it lowered. I have the stiffer anti-roll bars and Tokico shocks - makes a big difference.

  11. I've been wondering whether you could have a stab at this with a normal camera and a filter. What would the wavelength of the light be for heat that is escaping ?n A normal camera will show infrared, what if you just stuck a red filter over the lens and took a picture ?
  12. Now you're just being obtuse - why not make some sarnies before you go ? ;)
  13. And do you have a backup ? If you have bought a map from TomTom it stays on their website in your account for a year, so you can download it again.
  14. Did you use TomTom Home ? I did that a few weeks ago, it tried to download a new map, said it didn't have space and needed to delete the old one first. The new download didn't work properly and then there was no map ! Fortunately, I had the foresight to take a backup first ...

  16. It was an anti-emetic (eg prevents sickness) and was frequently prescribed to pregnant women, unfortunately it caused terrible birth defects. I think it has some other uses now, can't remember what though.
  17. Thalidomide was the drug, not the effect .... but agree completely, it's TupperWare Central and :hurl:
  18. Just rain here - very disappointing, love a bit of snow ...
  19. That'll be either the gearbox cooler or an oil cooler.
  20. Oh, and the HICAS light is probably due to the steering wheel being fitted off centre.
  21. A good honest description I would have said, worth taking a good look at. I wouldn't panic overly about the turbo smoke description, mine has done that for 50,000 miles !
  22. The list is in the Committee Announcements forum.
  23. Does the PC have a firewall enabled ?
  24. Good fix ! Maybe the magnets loose their strength over time due to the heat of the gearbox.
  25. Only $30K in US ! http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/automotive_news/4294214.html?nav=RSS20
