Can't see the Z club on there ...

I suspect any alteration is illegal, but I would have though that 'correction' wouldn't matter. Who'd know anyway ? I set mine right when I swapped my clocks over.

Yep, it's quite straight forward. Depending on Series I/Series II parts you may need to take the speedo unit guts and put then in the case in your car, rather than swap the whole unit.
  5. Your number is published in the list, 000612 for reference.

  7. Glad to hear it's working well, will be interesting to see the dyno comparison because every car is different. One of the things I also do is a chip with dual maps, so you can switch maps in a couple of seconds rather than taking the ECU out. Can be used for different things like good/bad fuel or normal/track or normal/garage mode (so the cheeky feckers can't talk your car for a thrashing at lunchtime). My car never sees a garage so I've only ever used it for back to back comparisions on dyno days.
  8. I reckon you have some air in the fluid. It heats up, expands and takes up the slack. Then you as you depress the clutch the air compresses, but not enough to compensate for all the expansion. Bleeding the cltch can be a bugger, I usually remove the slave cylinder from the car so that the nipple is in the right place.
  9. Plenty of room to open the doors, no problem. Just like one of the poxy "Mother and Baby" spaces outside Tesco !
  10. So is that why you have "Hoi who put grease on this pole" in your sig ? I've never worked out what that means ....
  11. Add to that, check wiring to the CAS and potentially even that the CAS is located properly with the end of the camshaft.
  12. When thet refurb the wheels they'll put them on a lathe to tidy them up, that will remove most problems. Also, balancing will help. However, if they're not repairable, then they'll let you know at the time.

The back reminds me of a Chrysler Crossfire Perhaps not from this angle though ....
  14. Erm, hasn't that got a bit corrupted ?
  15. I'd get them repaired, only costs about £12 each around here. Should you swap over to the old wheels then it will make a minimal difference to the TC, as it is setup for the rolling radius, not the wheel size per se. Larger wheels, smaller tyrewall, therefore, net difference = next to nothing.
  16. Actually, no ! Nothing wrong with the wheels per se, but I don't think they suit the rest of the car that well. They're chunky rather than curvy unlike the rest of the car. Some ther 19" 5 spoke wheels seem more elegant. Also, for some reason they don't seem to look as large as other 19" wheels, maybe it's some optical illusion, or perhaps the angle of the photo or something.
  17. The UK auto has two cooling tanks built into the main rad, the Jap has only one. In either case a separate gearbox oil cooler is recommended.
  18. Connection to MAF ? My car had also been standing for a couple of months, one of the injectors had become blocked and loads of the electrical connections needed cleaning.
  19. Have you looked at the connections for the TPS ?

Derren Brown does the same trick !
  21. There is a very helpful video on this site that shows where pipes etc are routed and how the water bypass and EGR stuff is routed etc. I referred to it before I did some of my fiddling at the weekend. However, it's 128Mb so broadband only ! http://www.mwsmotorsports.com/mwstv.htm
  22. Next to nothing, think of it of engine insurance rather than power gain.
