  1. Actually, that's pretty simple. It works because images remain in your eyes (or optic nerve, or something) for a short period of time. If they didn't then you wouldn't be able to watch films etc. The colours, then overlay the back and white image and soon after fade out.
  2. No, but I do have a some N/A chips although these are not from SE. Does a Series III have the 16 bit ECU, in which case there's not much you can do except replace it with a Series II ECU and map that.
  3. I'm not a fan of the bodging devices, you either get your ECU mapped appropriately, or if it's outside the range of what that can cope with then go standalone.
  4. According to your rides section, you already have a MINES ecu.
  5. Yeah, probably kickdown switch
  6. Ohh, brave man ! PaulG was telling me about doing his. It's important to ensure that you don't have a big lip inside the wheel arch, other wise the new tyres may rub, especially if it's lowered.
  7. and from there it's but one step to here :- http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&search_result=&db=pc&lang=&keepicon=true&pc=PE39AR&advanced=&client=public&addr2=&quicksearch=pe3%209ar&addr3=&addr1=
  8. http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/postcodefinder;jsessionid=LEGUF22IQRAE2FB2IGDEQEQUHRAYUQ2K?pageId=pol_pcfresult&catId=400145&_requestid=145357 Dunno whether that will work, but you get the general idea !
  9. Cold foggy days for best performance, warm sunny ones when it rained heavily the day before for best traction.
  10. Should get another £5 from me too !
  11. Macca has to go, surely ...
  12. Yeah, it's a good one, I have loads of links to there from my site.
  13. You could always go just on the Sunday ... Anyway, I believe we have 100 spaces for cars this year, so should be no shortage of space.
  14. 15% - I should be ashamed of myself !
  15. I'm sure someone on here was building one last year.
  16. Cheeky fecker - you'll all be up to your knees in stickers soon ! ;)
  17. Yep, classic restriction mileage 2nd car is the key. When he told me the quote I didn't even hesitate !
  18. I got a great deal from Carole Nash on a classic policy - £144 !!!!
  19. Fixed
  20. Need slippers in my house in the winter, it's cold and I don't have much carpet ...
  21. They'll probably sue you aftrewards for that. Remember the guy to was robbing a house and got locked in the garage for a day or two. He sued ! The world is insane ...
  22. That can hardly be a decision maker on whether a car is being broken or not, that's just a straight operating cost. The fact that it's run out when the car is off the road is actually saving money !
  23. Yes, OEM are plastic tanks. There is no fix apart from replace. Mike Feeney used to be able to get replacement plastic end tanks which could then be bonded on to the old core - don't think these are still available though.
  24. You've found a symptom, not the fault I believe. Is one of the cams seized ?
  25. Don't understand why he says it doesn't fit UK models, unless he means auto only, as they use both end tanks for cooling, Jap is only one. It's also described as suggesting it may have plastic end tanks, they are half the reason for failure son the OEM rads. Didn't notice mention of n/a rad.
