  1. "Don't worry, you're all SPECIAL, in you're own special ways ..." :D
  2. Mine were decatted years ago and are still OK (not perfect, but ok)
  3. Are you sure the bearing shells are spot on ? Could get messy fast if they're not ....
  4. It would have expired on 31st May. I suspect that the notification went into your Hotmail spam collector, this happens quite a lot.
  5. So you're after Macca's crown then ?
  6. I'm only a part time bodger but that looks a bit thin to be welded easily. An expert may be able to do it of course ...
  7. Yes it will fit and yes the speed limiter would be raised from 112mph to 155mph.
  8. So maybe the starter motor is not engaging with the flywheel. It's kinda difficult to diagnose this remotely without being able to hear/see anything.
  9. Maybe a woodruff key on the crank pulley has sheared.
  10. I would have thought that sports cats will have essentially the same problem as no cats. ie reduced back pressure which can (allegedly) lead to turbo seal failure.
  11. They look quite different :- http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/moveptu/movingptu.htm
  12. They were really helpful - no problem at all ! I'll be getting two new ones in case that idiot mechanic does the same again ! ;)
  13. Thank you very much, I will do that. I took a photo earlier this evening and was planning on trying a comparison in Halfords. I thought there may be 20 variations, not 235 !
  14. That is kind of the case, except that the law is a little less up to date and tends to view the club or the web site hosting company as a 'publisher' of that information, in which case libel law is usually applicable. (Remember libel is written, slander is spoken). Of course that is dependent upon whether it's true or false ! However, if we can demonstrate that the offending comments were removed quickly and efficiently, to our best ability, then it's unlikely to be taken any further - hence the importance of the Mods being on the ball.
  15. Well Craig setup the original forum with a guy called Nico. We run into a situation where there was nowhere to host the forum and some funds had to be raised to pay for a server and hosting. At that time Craig had sold his car and he picked a selection of people he trusted to continue the work. We formed an official club and here we are now.
  16. That's correct, but to be more accurate we generally pick from people who volunteer. Typically a member of the Committee is approached by someone who expresses an interest in becoming more involved in the running of the club or generally helping out. Those people tend to become moderators or put themselves forward for vacant Committee positions.
  17. I'll leave someone else to fiddle with that sort of stuff. BTW I just double checked and it's actually 981MB. Seems to be going depressingly slowly at the moment, despite me having 2Mb SDSL, so I think I may wait paitently for it (in the pub!).
  18. I have a full screen video on my TiVo about the history of the Nissan Z car series. It's about 700Mb if anyone wants to host it. It's in funny TiVo format, but there is a Windows Media Player plug-in on Sourceforge.net which allows it to be viewed on most systems. Any takers ? Nissan Z - From humble beginnings, the Z series became the best-selling sports car in history for Nissan.
  19. Yes, I think I can get some of those. However, my current plan involves taking a closeup pic of the keyway and buying a new set from Halfords with an identical key. Then with the certificate etc I'll send off to McGard for a new key and will have a complete spare set to sell here or Fleabay.
  20. Potentially poor temp sensor connection, dirty throttle bodies, incorrectly set TPS as well ...
  21. Always a Lambo over a Ferrari
  22. Blimey - you gotta get a better pic than that ...
  23. The mod list does change over time, admittedly we have some defunct ones in there now, but I think that last new one was Jason Farrow. The mods are picked by the committee as being responsible people who are on the forum frequently, who understand the AUP and can keep an eye on things. There is a list somewhere, although I can't put my finger on it at this particular second. I think it's more important that there are moderators, rather than who they are, although I would agree for the benefit of clarity that it would do no harm if it were clear from their avatar/sig who they were.
  24. I was thinking of those funny "one size fits all socket" with loads of little pins in the middle.
