  1. Well there's a f***ing surprise! More to add to the list then....
  2. From these pics would you say that these are: 1. A new Z1 Motorsport clutch and Z1 Motorsport lightened flywheel (ie. what was paid for) 2. An old Centreforce clutch and uprated flywheel (what was already on my car) 3. Stock clutch and stock flywheel (random bits thrown on by the 'specialist' having sold both of the above to other customers) (ignoring the snapped off studs for the time being)
  3. Any further details on the car (VRN etc)? Very unlikely that it's the same car but I had a yellow LWB TT import several years ago (a scrap shell that had badly rusted sills that had been donated for a charity build). I ended up giving the shell to one of the mods on the orange site after he agreed to make a donation to the charity in question. He's been carrying out a full restoration over the last 12 months. Like I said, it's unlikely that it's the same car but possible I suppose? It was an 'H' reg import TT (VRN: H432 PTW)
  4. I think the correct term is 'Spotter' mate!
  5. Why does that not surprise me :hammer:
  6. What's the score with using sealant on the turbo inlet, I recall someone mentioning on a recent thread that it's not a good idea in case that also gets sucked into the intake? the gasket looks ok but I figure the whole turbo setup is going to need a full strip down and rebuild not impressed!
  7. Check this out... not sure if you can see that clearly but the pipe has been flattened on the bend (creased as if it was just bent by hand).
  8. What sort of sensor do you think might have been put in there bud?
  9. They are Garrett GT675RS roller bearing turbos
  10. True you can get some tennants who are a complete ball ache and by using a letting agency all of the pain is taken away (for a fee!) but if you get a good tennant/family in then you can do away with letting agency completely We bought our first house many years ago and initially employed a letting agent to deal with all the niff naff and trivia, but after the first year we ended up doing it all ourselves anyway. Some tennants can be testing at times but if you don't dick about and you pull them in line from the off, they then know exactly where they stand; because some will try it on (late rent, sob story etc) We're moving back to where we grew up so this house will also be let but we know now what needs to be done from lessons already learnt of course we bought when house prices were at their lowest, I wouldn't even consider buying another for the rental market now, it just wouldn't be economically viable
  11. Can't say mate....thread would get deleted, but it's off a zed specialists engine that I shelled out £10k for this strip down is turning up some really nasty surprises :cursing:
  12. I'm not a mechanic and I'm obviously learning as I go along but is this normal? Turbo #1 looks pretty normal but Turbo #2 doesn't look quite right with this random bolt going through the housing 'but' from the inside! it's clearly a bolt from somewhere else (it's green for one). Surely this should be threaded from 'outside' the housing and not from inside? or am I way off??
  13. Could be mate. I had a quick look earlier from the top, the downpipes are fixed in place with hexbolts instead of normal bolts. They look pretty decent, they actually look better than the Labree's that I've just stripped off the LWB
  14. Can I just clarify, what lph flow will a stock TT pump supply?
  15. Yeah I thought they were I ordered a set of these off Apex Performance back in '08. I really wanted them but it took over 6 weeks for them to arrive and when I opened the box they were black and gold Gen 1 BC Racing which looked pretty shoddy quality. I sent the BC set back and got a refund. Funny old thing, the BC coilovers got a revamp shortly afterwards. Now I understand that BC Racing make pretty good track proven coilovers after a fair bit of R&D gained from several years of various levels of drifting and track use. Their coilovers are now supposed to be paired and balanced at the factory. The first lot were pretty bad though.
  16. Isn't that a set of the old Apex Performance coilovers that they used to sell before they switched to selling BC Racing?
  17. I'll have to take a look at the zed user manual to find out where the PVRV hole is, that way I can fit it all up at Greg's
  18. Yeah I'll have a proper dig about tomorrow... Not sure what make the turbos are, I can't quite read it HK* something or other on a Pent**** something manifold?? I wish!!!!
  19. Can't quite make it out but that downpipe looks like it has some markings on it?
  20. That may explain some of the power gains I suppose?
  21. I've just got it up on the stands and this is what I can see at the mo' mate. I'll take some pics tomorrow once I've got it up on the ramps down the shed There's no Cat just straight through exhaust
