Any of you mad horsepower freaks need big brakes?
The only bits I needed off Leo were the 356mm discs and brackets.. These are the Ksport 8 pots currently fitted to the SWB (on Ksport 330mm discs) in order to fit the 356mm discs I needed the 356mm brackets, as the 330mm brackets can't be used these are the Ksport 6 pots that are going on the rear (with Ksport 356mm discs) I couldn't use the 6 pots/356mm on the rear if I had 8 pots 330mm on the front, hence the upsize in front discs and associated brackets these Ksport 12 pots and 380mm discs I've had in the garage for quite a while now, as soon as the parts from Leo arrive I'll be able to swap the discs and brackets over on the front and then I'll have the spare orange and painted Ksport 8 pot calipers and 330mm discs to sell on

Yes mate, all sprayed outdoors, as always the prep took the longest but I'm happy with the finish.

One for the sporty/fitness types.
Enjoying whatever training you are undertaking is one of the most important factors that many individuals forget to ensure at the early stages. You only have to look at the number of new gym members in early January and then compare that with the number who are still there in March. Above all alse I would suggest that booking a one to one with a personal trainer/coach would be extremely beneficial at this stage. He/she will be in a better position to help you understand exactly what your goals are and then will be able to formulate a bespoke training programme that will help you achieve those goals. Advice on forums is always very useful but in order to give you the best chance of achieving your goals and avoiding unnecessary injury, a half hour chat with a personal trainer/coach will pay dividends as they will then be able to formulate a bespoke training and dietry programme tailored specifically for you, they will then be able to monitor your progress and advise accordingly

I'm going the opposite way to you and I use this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USN-Muscle-Fuel-Anabolic-All-One-4kg-4000g-SHAKER-/330575546014?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Vitamins_Supplements&var=&hash=item7dbcbde60d in conjunction with this which is import only http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400268547207?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 but you'll be wanting a 'low carb' decent whey protein formula, so stay away from the nasty cheap rubbish and read the labels before buying CNP Professional is very good and used by a lot of athletes across a wide spectrum of disciplines, they offer some really good whey protein options that might not be as colourful as other brands but are in fact much better Check this out for info: http://www.cnpprofessional.co.uk/

Anybody after a rust free LWB shell for a track project?
I've got a spare UK spec rust free LWB shell on one of my drives and I need to shift it before we move house. I was planning on putting it on the trailor and scrapping it but it would be a shame to scrap what is effectively a decent rust free shell. It's had the boot floor pan cut out in order to fit a fuel cell (now removed) so doesn't have a standard fuel tank. It has both doors, stripped and cut back to a single skin and both targas are still fitted. The carbon boot has been sold and the carbon bonnet is now on the SWB, but it has both front and rear subframe/diff + a spare rear subframe and diff which includes the standard prop. I believe Marty is having the TT gearbox and the engine is obviously long gone. Effectively it's a hollow shell with all glass apart from doors. It has been stripped of all excess weight for track use so would save somebody a lot of hard work (ie. all sound deadening has already been removed) It's not a rolling shell, although most suspension components are still there, but it would require a low slung trailor and a bit of heavy lifting to take it away. anybody fancy a track project? I'll get some current pics taken in daylight and will post them up tomorrow.

Bored of your Civic? How about a Bugatti conversion kit...
Actually I quite like tha.........ah *****cks, no it's fookin' aweful, let's be honest Do you know what, that shit makes me angry because the guy's workmanship is spot on, very much like old Leepu from Chop Shop......fantastic craftsman but 100% **** designer and full of stupid ideas! How hard would it for those guys to employ the services of a proper 'designer' to come up with something and together with the 'fabricator/s' that built that, create something that wasn't so obviously a crap attempt at a Veyron kit car. That way their unique design quickly followed by the FRP mock up, which is then mounted on a spaceframe/Caterham body and what do you have......a new Radical/Noble/Caterham type car that can hold it's own as a unique brand rather than that heap of *****cks...

Certain 18's will fit mate, usually RAYS are pretty good depending on offset and rim width, but some split rims can be a pain as I found out with my old Enkei's which didn't fit because the caliper pipe snagged on the inner bolts and I'm the poorest within my circle of business associates, but I'm working on it

I'll dig out all the boxes from the garage and unwrap the bits so that I can take some pics mate and will then send details etc, not likely to be until Sunday now though Here's a pic of the original invoice: Ksport 380mm brake disc kit (12 pots) £1262.98 + VAT £221.02 = Total £1484 *this price was with cheaper Ksport Sport pads. The kit will come with the more expensive Ferodo DS2500 pads *

Any of you mad horsepower freaks need big brakes?
I've just secured a nice pair of 356mm discs and 8 pot mounting brackets, so I can stick with my current 8 pot setup on the front of the zed (6 pot/356mm rear) so I've got a spare set of uberly' massive ksport 12 pots with 380mm discs, brand new boxed (never opened) Ferodo DS2500 racing pads and braided brake hoses, that have all been fitted but never driven these are the discs (updated pic these are the 380mm discs) I thought I'd gauge interest on here before listing them on ebay, starting price will be at half of retail price new anyone planning on running ridiculous bhp or building a track monster that think they might need these, drop me a PM before they're listed on ebay Monday * and just to clarify, I have no issues whatsoever regarding bank balance so have no reason to sell other than they are getting in my way, therefore please no daft offers, cheers ****NOW LISTED ON EBAY**** http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290674418036?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I've been painting all day, what do you think so far?
I might aswell start a proper build thread now as it's nearly finished, as you say Baz, with some before and after pics That's a fair point reagrding the oil cooler, I might turn it around and fit it inside the bumper. I'm looking for some quick release self sealing connectors currently, I think Aeroquip do them for fuel hoses. That way if the bumper gets ripped off in an off/bump etc.

Part worn tyre advice
If he's put the money back into your Paypal account you're safe, get a stanley knife and make a few insitions, that way if he does sell them on, they won't get any further than the next guy trying to put air in and when they don't inflate due to the holes he'll ask for a refund aswell

Part worn tyre advice
I'll be honest I'm struggling with this view ie. every time a secondhand car is purchased the first port of call is to go straight to the garage and get new brakes/tyres etc fitted because the new owner doesn't know the history of the components. I don't see the difference between those parts fitted to a secondhand car and those secondhand parts bought individually. and the difference in quality of tyres surely has nothing to do with whether or not they've been fitted to a car previously. I'll give an example of this, I bought a set of rims off Zedworld a while back that had Pirelli P Zero's fitted, those P Zero's went on 3 different sets of rims and they were fantastic (all secondhand/part worns). I agree that brand new budget tyres should be avoided (I had some fitted to my Scirocco several years ago) and they were absolute dog w**k! Brand new but shockingly shite...bordering on dangerous So I would be hypocritical to say that part worns are a bad idea on a zed because I don't think that to be the case (in fact I'm looking at some now and trying to wangle a deal from a mate for 90 Federals....all part worn!.....skid tyres but still part worns), however I would agree 100% that shoddy part worns that are down right dangerous, as described earlier in this thread, should be avoided at all costs and anybody that does drive with them fitted (a) is a complete f**ktard and (b) should face the full wrath of the law however I disagree that an individuals budget shouldn't dictate whether they 'have the right' to drive or own a zed, I agree that if you are on a budget that you're first priority should be that the tyres/brakes and all other essential parts and components are up to scratch before venturing out on the public highway, however just because a zed owner can't stretch their budget to a full set of 888's or uber expensive soft compounds doesn't mean that they should re-consider their zed ownership... just my 2p worth

Top tips anyone?
Well both of those bolts are sorted, now I'm trying to get the rear disc off, something seems to be fixing it in place (is there a retaining screw or something that I've missed?) any suggestions?

I've been painting all day, what do you think so far?
Well the couriers have been working over time today first of all they delivered my new custom fmic pipes (ACL Engineering, Rotherwas), so it seemed rude not to fit them straight away and then DHL turned up with a couple of boxes from a secret source  Carbonetic triple plate clutch which will marry up nicely with this awesome carbon bad boy (cheers Bob) HKS elbows/downpipes ported heads and some aggressive cams and AMS pulleys and some other bits mani's, pulleys etc it's taken me a few weeks and a shed load of e-mails, PMs and tinterwebz' but the forged bottom end is finally back together. Still got a way to go but I'm enjoying this build so far

Looks tidy mate, though I'm still unsure exactly what the score is with LWB and SWB spoilers and their compatability with each other, it looks to me like a perfect fit on yours *but on a seperate note mate, you want to get yourself a new punch bag 'cos that one looks like a half padded old sock! :whistling:*
