If you've never had a 300ZX TT before, how do you know that it's been modded with nothing to compare to? TT's are quite grapid...hence the TT really. As suggested....take pictures and then someone on here will be able to tell you if it's standard (and just normally fast) or modded. :)

Trying to get these things out of my old Zed...have undone all the screws in existence but they seem to be wedged in tightly still. Is it just the bonding that's holding them and can that be heated to free them up or am I missing a FO bolt gripping them to the car? :D

Wrong...they have a duty of care to you. That sentence is actually not allowed - won't stand up in a court of law. Even if you were trespassing, climbed the roof and then fell because of the dodgy slates, the University would STILL be to blame. I would initially write to them and explain what has happened - you can claim on their insurance. If you get no joy, seek legal help, wither via your insurance or separately.
