  1. What throttle bodies are you using? Came across this photo the other day, have you seen it before?
  2. Are there any photos from the event that has just taken place?
  3. Another UK spec "Blues Brothers" back on the road!
  4. So what did it take to get her running?
  5. Look to be Stillen: http://www.stillen.com/product/side-skirts/stillen-type-iii-side-skirt-driver-side-1030012-815.html and here: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=345&Car_Type=300&UID=2014081114503286.146.192.59
  6. What he says or a bradawl.
  7. The restrictors are here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?124920-Exhaust-restricters-and-free-performance I'm not aware they were fitted to UK spec cars though.
  8. Well changing out the stock exhaust on imports will remove the restrictor rings the factory put in.
  9. Grab yourself a coffee and have a read of this: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/work_e/work_rights_at_work_e/contracts_of_employment.htm
  10. Get the UK TT MOT'd, drive it to JAE and display it as a "barn find" and enjoy the event!
  11. I hope you mount that thing and stick it on your garage wall!
  12. The difference is that in the UK spec headlights they (the mounting bases) were designed to take H3 bulbs and place the filament in the correct position for the optics. So in my case the HID is probably in as good a place as it gets. In Jap spec headlights the mounting bases were designed for H3C and you have used H3 HIDs so the focal point will be way off in your case.
  13. Thanks, I know that when I installed my H3 HID kit I compared the two side by side. The halogen filament was bang in the middle of the HID discharge bubble (like this photo I pulled from the web). I could try moving the HID bulb back in the holder to see what difference it makes, if any to the pattern. I still think the best solution for me is to retrofit a complete OEM HID projector assembly.
  14. I thought you were referring to the Canadian Lancaster, when you said "Lancaster bomber"! Anyway CGVRA has landed safely at RAF Coningsby.
  15. The british weather! http://www.lincolnshireecho.co.uk/Dual-flypast-Canadian-Lancaster-BBMF-aircraft/story-22220652-detail/story.html
  16. That link is for 2013? The tour schedule has her in maintenance at the BBMF.
  17. Please say you are going to video that event!
  18. Well she is doing a flypast not that far from you: Saturday August 23 Flypast - Henstridge - both Lancasters. Henstridge, Somerset full schedule here: http://www.warplane.com/lancaster-2014-uk-tour.aspx
  19. She is nearly here! http://www.flightradar24.com/CGVRA/40497a4
  20. It was a dealer fitted option on UK supplied cars.
  21. Have you got something that documents that?
  22. I have an early (unshielded/unprotected) Selin. The HIDs I installed came with Phillips (made in Germany) ballasts. I've not experienced any problems so far with the Selin I have and the ballasts. It was a rare event in any case which affected a small number of Selin users. Later Selins have been "hardened" to both power line and radiated interference.
  23. Got it, wasn't sure if the voltage averaging role of the Selin hadn't been coded/built into the latest NIStune and stock ECU when using dual MAFs.
  24. How is the work of a Selin translator handled/replaced for a dual "slot-style MAF"?
  25. Allthough this was a problem that affected early Selin translators, bear this in mind when buying HID ballasts: "All of the Chinese sourced ballasts I was able to test sent voltage spikes into the cars electrical system as high as 300 volts (!!!) This is also repeatedly hitting every other computer in your system." - Jim Selin http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2579166/Hey-Greg-sorry-I-hadnt-replied-to-your-email-yet.html
