  1. Impressive!
  2. Looks like nice dog walking country, where is that?
  3. Why would external wastegates have a bearing on a boost leak test?
  4. ^^^Agree. What bulb type does it say on the packaging that came with the kit? Maybe the wrong type was sent out. This is an example of an H3 HID:
  5. Just to clarify what you have done. You said "I upgraded my main beams to a Xenon bulb, great improvement, if you put the Main beams on and with my hand cut the beam down to imitate a dip bulb, the illumination is great, much better than the HID's." Xenon bulbs (gas discharge) are HIDs.
  6. 26 and 28 in the diagram: http://nissan4u.com/parts/300zx/el_z32/1990_1/type_1/body_front_roof_and_floor/front_fender_and_fitting/
  7. How the GHK works is described here: http://bde-performance.com/goose.htm how the stock recircs work and why you get goose honk is described here: http://bde-performance.com/goose_how.htm I have the GHK fitted and it works fine.
  8. Yes: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2415470/A-little-info-about-turbos-and-pipes-DYNO-CHARTS.html
  9. Best wishes on your Birthday Jason!
  10. That can work both ways! May I ask what is your experience is in VG30DETT engine building?
  11. Nissan fixed the problem later in the Z32 production cycle with spring clips which allow for the contraction of the pipes with age. You can get a kit of replacement pipes and clips from: http://www.zspeedperformance.com/Nissan-300zx-Fuel-Injection-Hose-Repair-Kit-NISFI100.htm
  12. As per the Aus quide above, don't forget to slot the two inboard rear bolts. It makes life *a lot" easier to do the job next time.
  13. Thanks for your help with the speaker enclosures Terry. Having seen your car today all I can say is that she is much to nice to be hiding away! Look foward seeing her finished and out to play in the new year.
  14. That will be your room lamp relay. Controls the interior lamp above your head. Circuit diagrams attached showing wire colours (el-38) and diagnosis (el-53). el-38.pdf el-53.pdf
  15. I don't think anyone would suggest that worn parts are reused in any rebuild. If a part is worn then obviously replace it, and then you have the choice of fitting stock or aftermarket. It all depends on your own goals, but if the engine is sound (within specs) then isn't it nice to know that you don't need to "over spec" given that the stock engine is already "over spec'd" from the factory for quite sizeable increases in reliable power with the correct tuning?
  16. Welcome to the party! I would change your location "142 London Road" to something less specific.
  17. You have checked that the balance control is not set fully to the left channel?
  18. This picture shows the black earth lead connected to the H3 bulb mounting baseplate, the other end of which goes to the low beam harness ground connection. The flying lead on the H3 bulb goes to the +12v supply low beam harness connection.
  19. The headlight baseplate is electrically isolated from the cars earth. OEM should have a short length of "earth" wire fixed to the headlight baseplate to connect too.
  20. 14463-40P20 and 14463-40P21. http://nissan4u.com/parts/300zx/el_z32/1991_1/type_1/engine_mechanical/turbo_charger/illustration_3/ I would have though you could get those off a breaker. They should be OK s/h as they are away from the engine bay heat. I can't be sure, but I think the bolts are the standard Nissan hex head 6mm of the type used all over the car.
