  2. Dave, you should use this product (or similar) to bond your spoiler and provide a water tight seal on the leading edge. I can talk you through the steps if you like. My last (second hand) OEM spoiler lasted over 15 years before failing, and did so at a place I hadn't done a good job of sealing (I had relied on the OEM fixing tapes).

  4. If I could add to Rhys's comments above, there are indeed two different types of RLTC made for ABS and non ABS cars. (the later require wheel speed sensors to be added to the car). This is something I hadn't come across before, and was only apparent in reading through all RL's installation manual. A non ABS RLTC will not work with a ABS equipped car without modification by RL (a service that is not longer provided by them). The good news is that if you see a RLTC for sale then two types can be identified by looking at the wires shown below on the main plug going into the RLTC. If they are all red as shown then the model is for non-ABS cars. If they are a group of red, blue, yellow and green then the model is for ABS cars and is the type needed for Z32's By way of reference, these are the RL part numbers for the various models (ABS equipped cars and non ABS - WSS)

  7. The black wire is a ground wire. Please check that the white wires you are connecting to the ABS plug are in fact connected individually to the TC red wires and are not connected together/part of the earth shields for each red wire and in turn connected to the black wire and therefore grounded. I can't see what is going on here:
  8. One wire connection only per sensor. The black wire from RLTC in the sensor group (arrowed) is earth shielding, not to be connected to the four sensor (red to start) wires at any point. Is this the case?
  9. Can you photo the other end of the ABS sensor wires you connected to the TC unit. I assume you are driving the car to get the wheel sensors to signal? Is the ABS warning light on the Dash going off after starting up? Fuses all in place and working for the ABS system?

  13. The ABS control unit is on the right hand side behind the drivers seat 3/4 trim panel as shown below (the location of the ABS actuator is also shown for reference).
  14. You are quite correct they are different systems. Racelogic sold thousands of RLTCs so there are many advocates. They are not specific to the Z32, so you can buy a s/h system and fit it to a Z32 (even if it came from a 4 cylinder car) as two models were made - 4/6 cylinder and 8 cylinder.   15. The system works very well. I fitted mine for insurance reasons (my driving ability and unexpected road conditions). The 300ZX TT is a powerful rear wheel drive car and can break away suddenly under power (especially with the turbos coming on boost rapidly). A number of cars in the Club have been written off or badly damaged over the years and nearly always as a result of getting on the power too early in a corner and/or slippery conditions. So the two key benefits are: a) In a rear wheel drive car you can use full throttle around a corner with greater confidence that the rear end isn't going to suddenly break away. b) In wet and slippery conditions the car accelerates as fast as grip allows without skidding all over the road. It is a shame that Racelogic have stopped making them.
  16. It dosn't actually matter. My system did have the four colours for each ABS sensor. However the system is smart enough to work out which wheels are driven (rear) and which are reference (front) and then left and right. This is covered in the manual (page 18) "Calibration". You can also setup and check manually (using the Windows RLTC software) which RLTC ABS channel is connected to which of the four ABS sensors (pages 48-50) "Wheels". If you want the RLTC to do the wheel calibration automatically you will need the calibration adapter (see below). This is plugged into the diagnostic lead during calibration. Otherwise do the setup manually. It is important that the four RLTC ABS sensor wires are run in a four core shielded cable from the RLTC box through the car to the ABS control unit. The four core shield should be connected to the existing shield from the RLTC harness. This is to ensure that no electrical interference is introduced to either the RLTC or ABS control units.
  17. It all looks there to me. Group 'A' are injectors input/output. Group 'B' are to ABS circuit. Group 'C' are Black box control. Group 'D' is diagnosics loom (to a PC). By way of reference, this is my install under the kick panel in the passenger footwell.
  18. Do you have the RLTC installation quide (not the one I posted above)? If you don't I've linked it below. It covers all the wires and their colours. The most important parts are the white plugs that go into the RLTC box itself. Have you got the launch control box (small black box with knob on it)? The single wires (page 14 and 15 of guide) are solid red is Ignition source, double black is ground black/white is RPM source. The injector circuit(s) are of the form: The wires are cut for each injector circuit. For the ABS connections the wires are spliced.
