The Cars of the Oil-Rich I Saw Today
The sad reality is that though it may us sick (and footballers are surely the sickest (if that's a word!)), the only reason these types of cars are developed in the first place is to be able to sell them to the obscenely rich. If they did not exist, neither would the cars, and that really would be a loss for those of us who are petrol heads. So like it or not, we must tolerate these obscenities.

The Cars of the Oil-Rich I Saw Today
I was going to ask how they got them over as they're wearing middle eastern plates. All flown over?

How much engine oil....
Pity the bodies can't keep up any longer...all models build between 99 and 2001 are worse than Fiats of the 70s!

How much engine oil....
It's definitely around 3.5litres, which is very strange for such a large engine but true. My 2.8l Merc engine takes 9 litres, and 1.0l Micra takes 3 litres! Great design, but probably fatal when the oil level is low.

Shall I try this again? Newbie from Middlesbrough....
Gorgeous colour.

Can JDM Pearlescent White paint be sourced in the UK?
Certainly sounds a challenge. I only need the front bumper painting, and seems a shame to re-spray the whole car just because of this, especially as it's in such great condition.

Can JDM Pearlescent White paint be sourced in the UK?
Hi, Can pearlescent white paint, the type used on my import, be sourced in the UK? Thanks.

V-Power...
Filled up with V-Power today just to see if it makes any difference. Already had 2 gallons in the tank, so if it does anything, how quickly should it start acting? I assume it mixes together slowly over time, and only becomes 100% new fuel once a few tankfuls have gone through?

Ferrari 348tb
Surely you're jesting Si...everyone knows that! :cool2:

Ferrari 348tb
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise...buy one. These things are emotional decisions and you have to buy one from the heart. If I could afford it, I would always buy one over a Porsche or any other car. People who buy Ferraris (those who can afford to!) have great taste and people appreciate it. It is the one car (inc. Lamborghini) that even those who are completely disinterested in cars will look at.

The new Nissan Juke...
I know; it was used by Claire in the television series Heroes. In fact Nissan sponsored Heroes and featured many Nissans, including a 350Z roadster driven by the character Tracey. Very good move.

The new Nissan Juke...
The coupe point is actually a good one. Not too long ago, there were a great many 'cheap' proper coupes in the market, most from the Japs. 200SX, Celica, Prelude, MX-6 to name but a few. Now there are none, bar those which are 2 door versions of saloons or the one from Hyundai. There really is no choice for those wanting a proper sports coupe for around £20k. I really hope that Toyota does launch a £20k proper sports car; it should kick start the market again. The best of the bunch, IMHO, was the original 1989 200SX. A great car, but one that has disappeared alarmingly quickly for such a good car. As for the 370Z and the 350Z before it, I suppose Nissan learnt their lesson and no-one can deny how successful the 350 was. You see them everywhere, which like it not, means that Nissan has made some money from them. The Z32 was far superior for the period, but sold in very few numbers (in the UK), due to very high price (£36k in 1990!) and very poor marketing and advertising.

The new Nissan Juke...
Let's just say the opinions on the Juke are divided and leave it there...we're not going to agree either way. Si did however hit on a point that has been close to me for the last 20 years! Why do Nissan refuse to import some of their best cars to the UK? Their sales/marketing/strategic team are an absolute disaster and have been for at least the last 2-3 decades. The only reason the GT-R is in the UK is because people started to personally import the R32 and then R33. If it was down to Nissan, it would have remained in Japan. The only decent cars we have ever had in the UK have been the Z32 and later incarnations, 200SX (1st generation) and R34/R35. I was very surprised when Nissan made the CORRECT decision to bring the Murano here. Nissan has some great mid-range cars, like the Altima, which should be sold in the UK. Far superior than any Primera, and probably much better than most other cars in the same class. Similarly, not launching Infiniti in 1990 in Europe was also a huge mistake. The Q45 was a great car at the time. Toyota did not make the same mistake and now Lexus is a well established and respected brand. Still, better late than never...will they ever learn?

A bargain!

The new Nissan Juke...
Lovely car but what's with the red inside? Surely the red should be grey for this car? When the car was launched, it was red inside but then the outside was also red! I hope they don't **** this up due to something so simple and stupid!

Should make a nice Panorama or dispatches!

Very Cheap Oil & Filter Change
On that basis, assuming one uses a garage for this work, it's probably fair to say that the majority of garages will use this method. Very disheartening though I have to say! I used to change oil myself, but since 2 retinal detachments a few years back, I'm not allowed to strain myself too much for fear of complications. Loosening/tightening sump plug nuts is therefore a no no unfortunately! :mad2:

Very Cheap Oil & Filter Change
No doubt very true.

Very Cheap Oil & Filter Change
How do we know this is not happening at all dealerships and garages? I don't like it at all but I'm sure National are only following practices in the wider industry, yet we are happy for our Mercs, BMWs etc. to be subject to such things. Quite unnerving though!:scared:

Very Cheap Oil & Filter Change
Really?

Very Cheap Oil & Filter Change
4 litres of Mobile 1 Super S is usually 19.99 from Halfords.

Very Cheap Oil & Filter Change
Not sure if this is a re-post, but many not be aware that National Tyres do an oil & filter change for only £26 (if booked online or £29 at the branch). This is for Magnatec semi-synthetic oil + filter + labour. On the basis that the oil is normally £20-25 + £9 for the filter, this is very cheap IMHO.

*NEW* Toyota Poopra!
Now, now, let's not get too excited...it's a concept car and seldom is the production version (if it happens) any where near the concept. Mind you, if the production car really does end up looking like this, then Toyota deserves all the success possible; just like Nissan does for the Juke. But it's a concept...
