I have to say that the help and advice gained from this forum was fantastic and contributed hugely to making it a much smoother process than it would have been. Both the workshop and I are very thankful! Thanks also to Andy Isherwood for selling me his spoiler (which really was in mint condition!) and also Pablito for suggesting that I should fill in the radio aerial recess (made perfect sense as my antenna was broken and I had no plans to replace it). The clear wing indicator lenses are a definite, although there are so many sellers that I'm not sure which of them to go for. I've heard some of them are very poor quality so if any one has a recommendation, that would be great. Still not sure if the black pinstripe should go back on...

Finally got my Z back after a week getting a makeover...pearlescent white to ice white (Audi Ibis White). Personally I love the new look and it's turned out even better than I expected. Looks a totally different car to before. Just the new wheels to put on... Hope you like it!

Hi all, I'll be installing an OEM spoiler on my NA and would be grateful for your advice and help. The spoiler in question is shown below: [ATTACH]57233[/ATTACH] It currently has four mounting points to the rear. These I have circled in red and align perfectly with the holes in my tailgate. [ATTACH]57234[/ATTACH] The 2 in the centre I have shown in more detail below, and are circled in blue. Am I correct in assuming that you simply screw IN to these holes from the tailgate end? [ATTACH]57235[/ATTACH] The problem I have is with the securing of the side of the spoiler. It looks like originally these were supposed to have clips on the side which went in to holes in the tailgate. Being an NA, I have no holes in the sides and do not wish to make any. I was thinking of applying adhesive to the areas marked in yellow in the photo below. [ATTACH]57236[/ATTACH] Has anyone mounted one of these using adhesive only? If yes, which is the best adhesive and area to apply it to? Any other recommendations/advice? Thanks in advance and any help much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone's advice and managed to remove the strip this morning, with all clips intact. Was quite a fiddly job as access is severely restricted and had to double backwards, and I found using a flat-blade screwdriver to push each clip 'wing' worked best for me. Off to the bodyshop for a re-spray tomorrow and then the simple matter of fitting an OEM spoiler...

I'm trying to remove the perspex strip at the back and have found it secured by the clips in the photo. What's the best way of removing these? [Took 50 photos before I got this clear shot! I think one thing we all agree on is that there is freedom of speech and then there is freedom of speech, and this blanket attitude of "anything goes" is simply unacceptable and has to stop. Yes, they should never have been allowed to do what they did, and as soon as they started chanting offensive slogans etc., they should have been stopped and even arrested if they refused. The same goes for far-right rallies which are often allowed under the pre-text of "freedom of speech" and often result in rioting, closure of shops and businesses and ultimately financial loss for the local economy. A recent example is a BNP rally in a Northern town in the summer on a Saturday. Virtually all shops closed by 12pm; I'd hate to think how much business was lost that day. On a wider note, ANY protest of any kind which is likely to incite hatred and violence should not be allowed. Period. People can protest or hold a demonstration, but it should be factual and articulate. Easier said than done but you have to start somewhere! Similarly, any demo held to coincide with a particular fixed day/date (e.g. the example on this thread) should also not be allowed. This should be applied fairly and firmly across the board.

What this mob did was terrible and an utter disgrace and was designed to provoke and anger. And guess what? It worked. Judging by the vile comments on this thread, it looks like they achieved their aim, which was to incite racial and religious hatred and help them towards their goal of a 'fight to the end'. If you read the article (despite it being the Sun), there were up to 30 of them. Only 30. You will note that the far right was also present in large numbers, which makes one wonder doesn't it? A co-incidence that that both groups happened to be in the same area at the same time? Either way, these people are anarchists and hell bent on causing trouble and despite being the tiniest of minorities, the gutter press seem to be putting as much effort as possible in to glamorising them and painting them as representatives of Muslims or British Muslims. Why else would they interview them, publish their views and effectively encourage them to make more and more proposterous and offensive statements? I am sure that they are loving all of the attention that they are getting. 99% of the Muslims in this country have little or no time for them and simply cannot understand why the press and the media keep on promoting them and giving them air time. These people have been shunned by their communities and are seen as the enemies within. Yet, the government will not do anything about them. I have my own theories about why this may be but that's besides the point. What's really sad is to see the type of comments made by people that I respect and like on this forum, and an ugliness that I did not know existed. Reacting in such a manner makes us no better than them so I hope that once we've all cooled down and thought rationally, we will realise that we are falling in to their trap. This is not a political or a religious forum, but once again please remember that these people are thugs and have little or nothing to do with Islam. It has simply become fashionable and convenient for both sides to use Islam, as it helps to gather the masses on both sides. Similarly, both sides are completely ignorant of what the Koran actually says or what the religion teaches. Instead, preachers on both sides spread hatred and tell their followers what they want to hear. I am sure that none of those 30 have ever read the Koran and probably don't pray either. If they had done either, they wouldn't even have dreamed of protesting. Finally, let's not forget that Hitler was a Christian. I'd hate to think that Jews see every other Christian living today in the same light...

I've wanted one for years but the few that are left in the UK are in worse condition than the poorest Zs I have seen! I don't think any were imported either, which is what has brought a new lease of life to the Z32s (and lots of spare parts!).

The S13 (200SX/180SX/240SX) has always been a favourite of mine and was the car that in 1988 announced to the world that Nissan was back. A perfect precursor to the Z32 that we know and love. A gorgeous car in it's time, so when I heard that a convertible was also made, I was quite excited to see the photos. Having now seen them, I can understand why it never took off... It's amazing isn't it? We would never allow parts of our bodies to disintegrate knowingly yet we are quite happy to let areas of the country fall apart, ignorantly thinking that it will continue to function well indefinitely with no repercussions. Not only is this continued "gap" bad for people and communities from a moral perspective, but the resulting social unrest could eventually destabilise the whole country. Such a pity as so much of the North is so beautiful and the people are great. Don't fancy the weather though!
