I've noticed that even when stood still, a lot of heat is coming from the area around the front driver's side wheel arch. All other areas are OK. Any ideas? Is this normal?

Surely much easier to drive the car! I drove mine throughout last winter (apart from in the snow!) and the car was fine.

I'm sure this will get a flurry of responses and possibly a hot debate will ensue, but just sharing my personal experience. Now used 2 tankfuls each of Tesco Momentum 99 and Shell V-Power in my Z NA, and I can definitely say that with the Momentum, the car feels better. Obviously both perform better than 95 RON! Not saying this will be true for everyone, but for me the Tesco product is definitely better. The fact that it's cheaper is a welcome bonus.

I went through the same thing some months ago and the short answer I'm afraid is NO, unless you put the baby in the front seat, and your wife in the back. Put simply, it simply isn't worth it, especially if you have another car. The whole point of going out in the Z in for fun and enjoyment, and that is simply not possible if the baby is in the front and your wife is squashed in the back behind you...moaning and groaning. Then there's the pushchair yadayadayada. Can't wait until mine in old enough to sit in a forward-facing seat in the back. Counting the weeks...12 more to go!!!

Does Toyota have a small 7 seater?

Hi all, We need to buy a 7-seater and will be replacing my wife's Micra. Does anyone on here own, or owned, a Zafira (1999-2005 model)? Any advice most welcome. It's my favourite 7 seater (within a £2-3k budget) as it's small and compact, which is what we need. Thanks, Shamaz

40mpg? That sounds amazing. My NA does 16 in town and around 28 on the motorway, which is as expected I believe. 40 doesn't sound quite right but then you never know!

Thanks Nick. I suppose I should have worded the query better! I would like to get at the cable route from the front as I want to re-wire the speakers such that they can by-pass the amplifier that I understand all of the Zs have. So I suppose I also need access to the amplifier.

Hi, Is there a step by step guide on here explaining how to get to the rear speakers, i.e. by removing the minimum number of things? Had a look but can't seem to find anything. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Si, Your concerns are certainly very relevant, but I used these guys recently to get my Mercedes E280 sorted, and they did a very good job (photos attached). You're probably aware that the W210 E-class has a severe rust problem, so apart from new panels and body repairs, the following parts of the car were re-sprayed: - bonnet - both front wings - bootlid - both rear three quarters - 2 doors PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE CAR! All in all, they probably did charge £100 per day, which covered both sandblasting, body repairs and the respray. Whilst not what I would call showroom perfect, the result is still very good. On the basis that they know the standard I expect therefore, it sounds like £600 is a good price as they want the car for 5-6 days. I've been offered an exterior re-spray (blow-over) for around £600. The paintshop is one I've used before and the work is pretty good. Any comments on the cost?

Definitely nothing pearly, as although it looks great, it's a nightmare to maintain and touch up in the future. I could be wrong, but I think a solid white is a safer bet. Are pearls harder to apply or is there no difference as far as the spraying is concerned?

Thinking of getting my pearlescent white re-sprayed to an ice white. Any recommendations on the best one out there? The Audi ice-white looks nice...

Generally a good list and the Z32 is very deserving and I like his comments relating to how many have been ruined by their owners. Must disagree with the Supra though; quite ugly IMHO. Hope that doesn't offend too many Supra owners but then you are on a Z forum!
