  1. It is possible, lack of fuel pressure as it drops in between starts, but it could also be many other things, but if your smelling petrol, it is pretty common for the fuel pipes on the top of the engine to spring the odd leak given their age, and if your having them replaced, I hope it cures your problem mate...
  2. could be a fuel leak, have a look and sniff around and after the fuel filter/fuel rail.
  3. Can anyone tell me the inside diameter of the recirc pipe that a dump valve would fit to please? Or if anyone has some lying around, measure the fitting, or sell them me nice and cheap? :)
  4. japspeed do two options, just decat pipes, which Will bolt to your standard elbows, or the decats with the divorced split turbo elbows, i have the latter, makes a reet tasty rasp :)
  5. Well i found it pretty much as soon as i opened the bonnet. The battery hold down clamp had become loose and worked its way across to the positive terminal on the battery, and being grounded, it was just a fraction way from it and was touching and arking with the slightest bump or engine movement. Couldve easily caught fire!!!
  6. I have just been out and about, and I kept noticing my radio display flickering on and off, (the radio was turned down but on), then a little later, every time I accelerated or hit a bump in the road, my headlights, dash lights, radio and engine would cut off for a split second then come back on, sometimes everything cutting off a few times a second for a few seconds. So, what could cause this? I can't really think off a way I could replicate this fault. I got home and checked around the fusebox and passenger footwell for any evidence of water ingress, but all seems well.... Any ideas peeps? Cheers, Tudor...
  7. Sounds like that's running on 5 cylinders, would explain your lack of power too.
  8. Proms ain't all that bad, I gave a lift to a 16 year old rather attractive girl with mahoosive knockers, and her two lovely friends to their prom, in the zed, with the roof off :) There were loads of people stood outside their limos waiting for their picture to be taken, but the photographers were only interested in the zed

  10. And the ground on the top bell housing bolt?
  11. I've been in the same kind of situation with my dog and best mate 'Foster', as you said, could've prolonged his life, but it would only be selfish of me, had to do the right thing, my condolences mate, bad times....
  12. When I did my led conversion, if you get a multimeter and put it on one side of a led, trace it through to one of the pins, and do the same with the other side of the led and you've got your connections, or just put power to one of your leds and I think they will all light up (I think)....
  13. Have been here before, but at the risk of sounding like a complete nugget, what should it be set to after a manual conversion and the neutral switch not connected?
  14. Pretty sure it reads 25 degrees on consult, although I haven't looked at it since altering it, but the CAS timing and consult timing are separate.
  15. Do you still need a set of flywheel bolts Vods? PM me if you do, can sort you a set out, still got some left from a bulk buy for my own, have sold them to a few folk on here, 12.9 high tensile, as per OEM....
  16. Just to check then mate, I have done a manual conversion, and ignored the neutral switch, but, have set my base idle timing to 15 degrees, should I not have done that? Should I set it back to 25? Cheers, Tudor.
  17. Wastegate hoses but further up the line, easy to get to if that's what you were thinking :) And ECU if you want the RPM etc....
  18. Quite a few people using them mate, they are a cracking bit of kit, great boost controller, my pal who I work with has one lying around, and I'm trying my hardest to get it off him :)
  19. He's from Bolton like me, but he makes us notherners all look like tw@ts, can't stand the man, he drinks in a pub near me, have overheard some of his conversations with his mates, proper gob shite.
  20. Sticks aren't magnetic either, so if your magnet falls off your stick, and you need to recover your stick, it's bad times....
  21. I did have a stronger magnet on a stick, but I dropped it trying to get my magnet on a stick that I dropped, so if anyone has got a really strong magnet on a stick, I can use it to get my stronger magnet on a stick and my magnet on a stick, then I can lend my stronger magnet on a stick to Dave.
  22. Sometimes I put one on my head, does that count? :)
