  1. I need a full poly kit for an NA rear end, where is the cheapest? I'm doing the old TT to NA conversion, but for what they are, they seem very expensive, anyone know of a good place? May well do the front too...... Cheers, Tudor.
  2. what plugs are they?
  3. Power, holds the gear longer and changes at a higher RPM, but as stated above, booting it and hitting the kick down does the same thing anyways. Hold, I 'think' (can't remember, converted mine a while back), sets you off in 2nd gear, and changes gear at lower revs, to prevent wheel spin in dodgy road conditions, basically a girly button, who's gonna use that when there's one that says POWER on it :)
  4. I'm 29, in a 'fairly' decent area, garaged, 3,000 miles per year, no NCB, £204, and £1.65 of that is a charge for using my debit card! And it's a good policy too, european break down, 60 days european cover per year, legal aid etc. That's with footman james, I actually can't believe it's a lot cheaper to insure than to tax! Ars3hole government, I'm surrounded by pot holes. Give FJ a bell, very helpful and a lot of people on here have had great deals from them. Either way, hope you get sorted matey.

Last time I went, we did 1 hour 10 minutes solid, that really is a graft! Could hardly walk, arms like jelly, and my back was red raw and bleeding quite a lot, hell of a good laugh tho, well, not for the girl infront of me who hit a wall head on and messed her face up, still funny tho :)
  7. Sorry mate, what was that? I dozed off :sleep1:  Let us know if it works pal :thumbup1: - - - Updated - - - I presume that baffle is there to stop it sloshing too much and effecting the fuel gauge needle? Probably wrong though.
  8. Hammerite does melt when you get brake fluid on it tho, as I found out, just be careful when bleeding.
  9. You may find getting some of the old stuff off a bit fiddly, can be a bit stubborn, coming off in tiny pieces, don't scratch your car, but if you do, the strip should cover it up :)
  10. You can buy it on a roll, self adhesive, it's 10mm you want.
  11. Don't know if you have one floating around, but I often use my brake flaring tool, quite similar to the puller shown above.
  12. What is brown and sticky? A stick.
  13. I've also had a split turbo water feed pipe not so long back, fill it up with water, run it and get underneath, should get an idea of where it's leaking from.
  14. Possible dibs on your tubbies if you decide to go that route matey :)
  15. So have I, well, a couple of years old but hardly used, I'm contemplating this tho, as long as you do it well it should be of no detriment to the loom.
  16. Think the bluetooth adapter you need is about 65 quid tho....
  17. nice to see one as I'm doing mine matt/satin black too  Looks lurrvly matey :thumbup1:
  18. 'Officials admitted that police could not now instantly tell by accessing Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) computers as to whether a car is taxed. This will mean there is no longer a need to show proof on a car windscreen.' Eh?
  19. Good stuff pal, a little fettling and then joy, yay :)
  20. The mid section isn't the cats, the cats are on the end of the two longish down pipes from the turbo elbows, so its turbo elbows -> Cat pipes -> H or X section -> Back boxes. Most de-cats are the pipes from the turbo elbows and go up to the H or X section, just pipes that eliminate the cats, you can get some with silencers in too, have a look on ebay, damn sight cheaper than new cats! But if you are going for second hand cats, I believe they are the same (apart from LWB and SWB of course), but UK cars have a different cat pipe due to a pre-cat in the turbo elbow, JDM cars do not.
  21. I believe JDM cars don't have heated mirrors as standard? I've got them, come on with the rear screen, and no signs at all of retro fitting. And I've got the boot carpet, carpet protection carpet :)
  22. Looking forward to the pictures mate, doing a build as we speak, so anything I can do to make it stronger is all hunky dory :thumbsup1: - - - Updated - - - :thumbup1:
  23. I'm making some too, going down the circuit board same shape as the lens route tho, similar to the one zedwizz does, will bung some pics up once finished, loving those tho matey, I hate my indicators with orange bulbs and clear lenses, the bulb takes too long to light up and flash, whereas leds are instant, 1000 times better :thumbup1:
  24. 6 years and 3 months me mate, then on for about 10 months, and back off again!!!!!! Once this build is done though, she will want for nothing....
