20" rims on a 300zx
I think they look crap and I know many more who think likewise, but the worst pat about them is they fill with water as it cannot run of due to its design. Then the rear window seal go and it fills the car. So in short someone will buy it of ya, but not if they know anything about Z's

£1000 for the lot mate if second hand. In fact there are people on here who'll pay you to keep the rear tub so it never sees the light of day.

My Old Man and the zed
My Dad Had a Triumph Herald Vittes with tyhe 2.2 staight 6 twin choke webbers which I thought was ace. Then he had a Lotus Cortina which he love ,but I thought the Herald nicer and his best car was a 5.0 V 12 Etype which my mother went balistic about and he eventually sold it to my Eldest Brother who swapped it for a MkI Mustang which he still has to this day. My dad had motor bikes as well, but he died when I was only 13. Though I know for a fact and even my mother says "ya dad would have like one of those himself". So I must be a chip of the old block.

Sell or Break???
First Rover 820Si I have as a company mule was fantastic. just put petrol in it and serviced it and not 1 thing went wrong with it in 134,000 mile over 3 years. So I bought another 1 with the kidney grill just after Honda sold their share. Although engine and gearbox never let me down the electrics were a nightmare and was one problem after an other. So you can get cheep cars to run, but generally not performance.

Sell or Break???
I've gone through this, having spent far too much on mine (circa 25K ish + purchase price in 99) and having spent most of that over an 18 month period and never had a reliable car since. I've decided to return it to closer to standard and Flog it in the spring. Been and checked out a Noble last week and made my mind up. Will be driving a Noble by next summer as they have come down to my price range now. Noble GTO3R on a 02 plate 11K miles £24K with a tried tested 2.6 TT coswerth engine, 4 big bolts and the whole rear body work is off so you can get to any part of the engine in situe. So it's been a love affair thats coming to an end unless I can afford to keep the z as an everyday mota.

Pothole....1 Mick....0
Correct and so long as your insurance company isn't Zurich (they insure the highways department against claims for personal and property damade caused by defective roads. Which sort of answers the question of liability, because they wouldn't insure unless they were liable) get them involved if they provide you with an alternative car while yours is of the road. That way the council/highways deptment will want to settle sooner rather than later because the insurance co will seek to reclaim all its cost.

LED replacement dash bulbs
I swapped my dial bulbs for blue single LED's and completely agree with you about the patchy bit. I've been told that if you use the multy bulb LED's and the cut a peice of perspex to fit over the end and rough it up with sand paper that it defuses the light evenly. I also did mt switch binicles with red bulbs and they look sweet. Just got to get the thing going again now.

Bad news from the vet :(
Sorry to hear this Dave. I refused to have anymore dogs for years because you get so attached to em that its like loosing a child when anything happen to them. Because we used to have Great Danes The Dane rescue sociaty started bringing use dogs that had been abused. Stange thing is that abused and negected dogs seem even more obediant and loyal, but they never lived long, a year or two. it really used to cut me up so I said no more in the end.

Owner Non Owner????
P.S where the button for "Well I own one but it lives at the garage" Have to say that I've loved this car more than any other i've had, but this last 2 years of pain and cost have made me ill. May look at a JD V8 special in the future.

I got a financial black hole too. Guess what? Its knackered! Again!! well it's never been right since it went for a 7 month stay with an expert     Third engine lucky next week and then it'll be up for sale. Had a look at a Silver 03 Noble GTO 3R today with 11K on the clock and if things go as I hope over the next couple of weeks I'll proberbly be buying it and say bonvoyarge to Zedding.

New big wheels
I think you'l find that she'll tram line real bad. No problem on smooth roads but tram lines, white lines, subsidence and any uneven road surface and your stearing will be pulled all over the place. Keep off the white lines at speed. (Scarey!!!) Also they most likely shread your inner wheel arches. P.S. Those wheels. "Mangnifique". They have come of a R33 which has the same offset as the Z32 so off set will not be a problem though what I said before I'm sure will be. If you have problems with the front wheels then How about Sharing the cost of buying a set of 8.5 J to the same spec and design and you could sell me a pair of the 10.0J so we both have a full set. :D Seriously if it is a problem I'd be up for that.

Complaints Complaints Complaints!
We've spoken about this Ian and all I can say is you know who aint done anything and now I've eventually recieved copies of all my invoices for all the bits I supplied (because all the parts went direct so do did the invoices) and replacement part prices (bits gone missing) my solicitor can make a statement of facts and the law will take its corse.

Stillen type 3 rear wing/spoiler
I Think you got to be smooth or have a spoiler. Not of these pansy half hearted affairs. + Its your car and if your going to mod it then that should express you and how you like it. Bold and in your face or suttle what ever. Don't just half do it do it write . Having said that I'm only half done with mine because I had to spend a fortune have nearly every job redone on my car because I was ripped off by a garage and am still in procces of sorting them.

My New 'Smokey' Zed
I asure you that even a private seller must not sell anything not fit for the purpose and you will have up to 3 months to get you money back. I have to know contract law for my work as thats 90% of what I deal in. The only way I could sell you a knackered Z with no come back would be to advertise it as spares or repair and therefore declaring that the car was not considered fit for the purpose of anything else. PS do not spend any money on it or he will argue that you were aware of the deffects and purchased it in full knowledg.

FAO Big Mincey and Chunk
You've got no Tam Dure! I can see you've not been at this Malt whiskey lark long. All the supermarket brands are for us Sasernaks they keep the proper stuff to em sells. If ya ken. However you need to get rid of that lot before you replenish with some proper Malts and being as I'm a considerate type of chap I'd be willing to help you dispose of your current stock. :wack:   But I draw a line at tossing the caber.
