headlights
You can convert the Jap bulbs to H3's easy enough its only a case of cutting the negative wire and putting a bullet plug on and a spad connetor on the live and hey presto. Then go to Halfrauds and buy some 80 watt Ultra H3's. They look bright blue, but they shine like HID's almost. Also while you got the bulbs out get a baby wipe on a wire coat hanger and give your lenses a good clean inside.

You can get Koni street pro ajustables for £89 at Demon Tweeks. Cheeper and better than OEM. While your at it get on to Chris at GetGReddy and get a set of Eibache springs for about £150 ish and the jobs done properly for the rest of your owner ship.

How can I tell if my Z has been lowered?
Eibach, Blitz and HKS lowering springs are black and depending on which variant ie Street pro, sport etc depends on the initial drop in height. Also ajustable damping will effect the height yet again as will Knacked springs and the amount of crap you've got in or on your car. So its not just a case of my car is X height therefore its got lowering springs. Need a lot more info, to many variables.

Advice on buying a Z.
If you get a good one it should only cost you fuel and servicing cost, but this is not the time of year to sell though you will get better deals if your buying. I ran My car for 4 years and only serviced her regular and fed it Optimax. Never skipped a beat and that was with an induction kit and 15psi boost. Soon as I started messing around with it, its cost me a fortune and been very unreliable though thats proberbly more to do with the knob I let loose on it.

Track Day?
That sounds good value and a cracking day.

Track Day?
I'd be up for it though you'll need at least 20 to 30 and when the costs start to tot up most usually back out. Unless you offer it up the the z club lot. They always manage a good turn out for these things. I've never even been to Mallory what it like.
-
Track Day?
Show boating :D :D it depends on your brake byest + how ever you have your car set up. I have my front end set to 0 toe and -1 degree whilst the rear is 0.5 toe in and -2 degree camber which makes her understeer slightly so you push the back end out a bit and keep the power well nailed. It also makes her twitch in the rain, but predictable so long as I'm smooth.

Track Day?
Track day every time for me. Your better off going to a ciruit that will offer tuition for a few laps if you've never done a track day before. Might sound soft cos you all think your good drivers, but it'll save your car a lot of pain (cos its going to get some) and improve you track craft by as much as 2 to 3 seconds a lap if you are a good driver and if your not 10 + seconds + improve you high speed driving for ever. I've done some prodi bike racing in the past, Go Kart racing and thought it would be cool to take my Palmer Audi licence. I had to have some tract tuition time which I thought I didn't need, but it improved my lap times. + The scariest thing was it was a young lady who taught me. Your car will need to be in tip top condition and you'll need dam good brakes or it will break. + A good track day will scrub at lease half to two thirds of the life of your back tyres away. So if you can get your mitts on some semi slicks  Another reason for the tuition. Then just feel your way into it and if its not a car you can afford to wreck that stick to what your taught

Goodbye
I understand were JD and one or two more who have spoken to me are coming from. I try to be even handed as much as possible and will only poke fun at people I've got to know first. ie they know its fun. The level of some of the posts are a bit grim to put if frankly and a few people are too full off there own opinions (regarles of how well informed they feel they are) for some to stomach. Far too often in life it appears that those of a little knowledge seem to want to shout the loudest and if you are to have a comunity then you also have to listen and respect others points of veiw. By all means express your point of view, but to tell someone they are talking *****cks when your not listening is like offering shit butties. Not easy to swallow, give you indigestion and a bad taste. I like John and think he is a generous friendly gentleman who has always been helpful and honest. One of lifes good guys and wish him all the best where ever he goes. I'm also very sorry he feels the way he does, but I'm thick skinned (or just thick) and I can put up with the knob heads on here, because there are still an aweful lot of Dimond Gessers on here. Good luck John

Fook Sake Calm down girls and boys. If Ian want to thinks his car is the best Z ever then that is right, because he's building what he thinks the Z should be. JD and Leigh are building two quite different cars to each other and the only thing that is similar is they both have Nissan V8's. They both also beleive that their car is true to what the Z should be and they are right because thats what they want. Its all about the aspects of the car we each like and wish to emphasize. So if you prefer the challege of a circuit to the drag strip it up to you and I'm sorry to say that once people start calling each other for having a different opinions it expresses more about that person than the person they are tittle tattling about. So knock it off. Lets all kiss and make up and act our ages and not shoe size. Cos your all fooking stupid for even owning up to having a Z anyway, because if you weren't you'd all be driving a sensible euro box.

Where abouts in France are you? PM me with your address etc and I'll find out courier costs etc for drop of and collection. you can Email me some pictures of just how they sir to markgrenner@hotmail.com It may well be cheeper to bring them over and collect myself.
