  1. They are very cheep for a UK nissan dealer. Last time I checked about 2 years ago they wanted £360 per side and the seal that leaks is one peice per side mate. It goes round the targa and down the leading edge of the door frame. The other peice goes onto the targa pannel. I got those of luke for about £36, but I'll see what Mike at MJP can get them for. MJP Eastern Auto 01277374201 will get you both sides genuine OEM parts for about £189.
  2. That has to be the best modded standard front bumper I've see. Nice one. The spoiler was wrong, but I'm unsure about mine even though I put it on about 4 years ago.
  3. I'll need a Tshirt aswell, But I'll have a large because I've been dieting and running so i'm no longer a fat bast*rd like the other pie eaters.
  4. THese are the people you need http://www.turbodynamics.com. They are in Pool Dorset and quite highly regarded. Ooop didn't see Pauls reply
  5. You can actually ajust the window position if you take the dooor pannel off and undue the top lug in the rear piller part of the door. Slacken the sliders in the door and pull it to a slightly higher position and get a mate to tighten every thing up while you hold it. This will help a bit, but you really need new targa top seals. Mike at MJP got me a set of OEM seals from the states for about £200.
  6. No the Nisstech mimicks the original clock consol but smaller and sits on the dash above the vents. It looks verymuch like an OEM extra. The Z centre console is a copy of the ab-Flugg. It runs from the top of the original clock console way past the passenger air vent, then down over the vents. The Nisstech houses 3 clocks the Z center houses 6 or 5 clocks depending on size. Didn't like the original Flugg and my opinion hasn't changed.
  7. Mark I hear what your saying and I've seen your pricing structure (too late for me unfortunately) and you seem very reasonable, However the undenyable problem is that most of these engines are getting tired now and most people that have uprated turbos think, Wahay my turbos won't pop and up the boost. The result is often that the follow up bill is so great that the car is scrapped/ broken for bits and sold. I've been on and around these cars now for 6 years and I'm seeing this more and more. As a club we should be seriously talking about the pitfalls of tunning tired engines etc. I know that a well cared for 130K will be better than a 60K engine that hasn't been cared for. The problem is how many people here have a good engine heath check and how can you tell if the valve stem seals are about to go or if the new turbos are going to force oil past em etc etc. So if the car has done more than 70K and the lump is out isn't wise to do these things and shouldn't we be stait about it. The figure I've quote is as a result of personal research and that of others doing this and includes completely overhauling the V8 lump prior to instalation and the thing that has impressed me are the costs and the torque to BHP figures. The simplest way to show that the V8 convertion is cheeper is this. Pistons for the Z engine cost 4 times the price of pistons for any of the V8's mentioned. The lower plenum gaskets for the Zed cost as much as a complete gasket set for the chevy or the Ford The valve and stem sets for all three V8's I've mentioned are cheeper by a long way than the Z. Top quality Upgraded Manifolds can be purchased for around £300 per pair Z it would cost between £600 to £900 each Then of course if you just recon the engine the V8 will cost about the same in labour time and half in parts And here's the biggy There is 1000 to 3000 pounds worth of Tubos not to include. Hence big cost savings The there is the weight savings as all are lighter that the standard Z lump. Even lighter than the standard NA especialy the Ford and looking at the fuel consumpsion figure for the 470BHP Monaro or the 460BHP MG Sports car I would say that fuel consumsiom would be about on par with a Z running standard injectors with a remap and 14.5psi of boost.
  8. You know what I mean though and thats still £500 a tub which in my book = £1000. The point that I'm making is there is no cheep fix and if Takemetothepub is on a tight bugget than tell him the whole nine yards. + Yes Mark I've have a bad experience, but that aside the parts alone to do the job properly if your going forged pistons, balance the crank, new oil/water pump, new hoses, new engine harness, new Turbos, gaskets and if you up grading them you'll need better coolers. The you don't have any change from £3k + engine out, stripping, rebuild and engine back in. How much you going to charge? Forgive me but, I got the impresion that the guy was pricing up his most cost effective options and I was merely offering an alternative which I beleive from experience to be a cheeper option and IMO I beleive is a better option. I'm not decrying the TT engine. I have my heart set on a Noble which also has a V6TT engine.
  9. They look very nice. Are they 19's
  10. Or they'll say that if you send them back to them for testing and if it has failed due to assembly or component failure they'll pay in full. However when they have it they will claim it has failed due to oil starvation which they will atribute to you or you mechanic. After a lot of rangling they'll offer to replace them, but not the labour costs. If your going for Turbos buy New and go for roller bearing tubs as they are more robust than 360 bearing type.
  11. Only if I didn't trust the pilot Chris and in my hands that power wouldn't bother me. At the end of the day 360 ish RWHP is about as much as can be practically used unless its at the drag strip or a race track with very long straights and fast sweepers allowing hard acceleration from +120mph. I laugh my c*ck off at all the telephone number bull shit and I'm positive from my 30years of experience of racing bikes (building and tuning) turbo charged cars (I've had quite a few including a R33 GTR Vspec stage II and own 3 turbo charged vehicles at the moment) that modern NA multi valve V8 lumps are all that I've said and more user friendly and rewarding.
  12. The book I wrote was how to waste £30K on a original 300zx and still end up with fooked and unreliable engine that is blown away by a V8 convertion costing a fraction of the outlay I've made. Even more anoying the V8 sounds ten times better as well. Yheres a couple of guys in the Zed club put the Ford lump in and our very own MantaV8 has put the Chevy in. While John Dixon and Friday are as we speek finishing there Nissan 4.5 V8 convertions. Both are NA's (unlike the Yanks who love these lumps in there Z's with a pair of Turbo's) and both gone a different root. John has bored out to 5.0 ltr with high comp pistons H section conrods trick cams dry sump and bespoke ECU pumping out 600BHP and a total build and install cost around £6K While Leigh (Friday) has had porting and polishing work with bespoke ECU dry sump etc pushing a respectable 450bhp at a total build and install cost of around £350. It really does make sense.
  13. Hoi takemetothepub! Are you listening? There is no cheep way of revamping the 300zx tt lump. Cheepest and best up grade is V8 lump such as Chev 5.7 (only 2 valves percylinder), Ford 5.5 (millions of bolt ons for this motor and kits available in the states supplying everything needed to convert your Z) and the Nissan 4.5 as with Ford loads of bolt ons including turbo's if your mad enough to want em. Serious power a lot cheeper than revamping the original engine.
  14. They'll cost more than buying a 4.5 V8 Nissan (£350 ish) then having the head work done + bits and bobs and ECU up grade and wiring etc. Fitted V8 running 450BHP ish for about £3500. New Turbos = £2500 to £3000 New pistons = £700 to £1200 Rebore = £200 Then all ancilary bits to replace like water pump, oil pump, etc. So you've spent £4500 and unless you change the injectors you have a 400bhp max out. Then you need a better unduction, exhaust etc and before you know it you've spent £12000 on an engine and performance bits. Beleive me I know I've written the book and eaten the pie. £3500 will get you awesome V8 power and sound track and if you want to be silly you can supercharge for about another £1200 and have 600bhp+. V8 is the only way to go. My next Z project is going to be SWB V8
  15. Bin the enginge (flog what you can) and have a word with friday to order a nissan V8 and Gearbox addaptor. It will be cheeper than a rebuild, more reliable, more powerfull, have no lag and sound amazing.
  16. Keep ya eyes peeled and ya head down mate. No heroics just do ya job and get back in one peice with all relevant bits still attached. Good Luck
  17. Check my ride picks. mine are mounted at the front by the grill

It'll be cheeper to get RPS bits from Smithy's Place or speek to Chris at GetGReddy if you wnat a good clutch that won't break the bank. Either of these guys will sort you out quickly and at the best price. Check the Traders section.
  19. Owch. That's not playing fair ya pretendy scouser. It wasn't my fault. + You Took Chris C you cheeting tart. :o I wasn't their because GPS operates on a veegon calender month (4 earth years to one veegon month) and when my new pistons hatch. The ones they had the zx eety tweety bird lay in my engine. :mac1: I'll go that fast I'll catch you up when you broke down last time and give you a lift. Well thats the kind of boll*cks they tell people  This year will be different Mr. Just you wait and see. :hyper: :hyper:
  20. It should say. "Chris (will he make it this time?) Greedy Nolan

Or not alined properly, incorrectly ajusted, but most comon is that that the slave cylinder is goosed as it is always wise to replace when you change the clutch. The fluid being flushed through often fooks the seals and this causes the clutch to drag because you carn't ajust it properly, which in turn fooks your clutch.
  22. How long have you had the car and do you know what kind of clutch you have. If your car is a import and new to you or if who ever you bought it off spent a lot of money on it. You my have a Twin or tripple plate clutch, but these rattle and grind every time the clutch peddle is depressed. Though you won't hear/feel if sterio is on. If you've got one of these your a very luck man as a good one like an Exeedy will cost around £1550/ £2000 and out last the car what ever you do. Get it checked out and be present. If the clutch plate housing is metalic pink leave it be or sell it for about £800 and put a nasty ACT or the like in.
  23. Nice one mate let her have it. Better off without a bitch like that even it it hurts. On the plus side though, her mate Sadie wouldn't have told you her thoughts if she wasn't keen on you. So my next move would be to call Sadie and tell her whats happened. Make out you hurt and need a shoulder then when she comes round ball her fooking brains out. You'll feel so much better even if she's a bit of a munter and if she's not :D Either way your now ex will get to hear about it and that'll really fook her off. + Every cloud has a silver lining if you know how to look at it.
  24. I think they are very nice. Some people just don't have good taste like what we have matey.
  25. Just say when you want the money Chris and I'll be round your house with the dosh. Like I said if my Zed isn't working I'll be going in this.
