  1. Hi I haven't raced camper vans or HGV's but we used to smash bangers when I was a lad. We'd just buy MOT failures and have demolition Derby's it was good fun. The stupidest thing I ever did was at the end of the sevenies (old b******d) I tried proddy bike racing hoping to get a sponser or benifactor. I had a Paggett RD 400. Sponden monoshock frame 5 gallon tank, the works. Kenny Robert's replica (Kenny Senior). Did well first couple of races winning both Novice categories at Brans and Donnington. On my third and final outing a Fluckborough I was wiped out on the airpin by a novice on a 500 Gama trying to out brake about ten bikes. the result was blue flashing light and a written of bike. On cold day's I still limp. Needless to say I never got my chance, but do a lot of karting these day's for fun. Always been a speed freek and now so is my lad is very good at karting and could do well in future if he keeps his hands of the birds.
  2. The Old bill don't use them because there slow. There is a crowd from Blackburn or Rochdale that sell V70 T5's ex cop cars for about £3,000 some are chipped some not, but standard V70 T5 is 260bhp. You can have any colour you want so long as its White. The 850 is the same car a bit older less ponies and no colour coded door handles. Cheeper to find a good 70,000 mile motor any colour and no holes. The ex P.C.'s are in Auto trader every week.
  3. I'm Suprized no body mentioned Volvo 850 T5. Known as the Balistic Brick. 220bhp standard. Just open the actuator to max and drill a few holes in the air box and 265bhp. I picked up a 1 owner from new with full service history in mint condition estate with a RICA chipped ECU 320bhp for £2200. It double's as a winter car and family bus as Good Lady has a Celica TRD? or DRT? or HRT what ever. 2.2 Turbo Jap import.:D

Well I'm told that the gizmo is programable so you can utilize the overdrive as a half gear so in effect you have 8 close ratio gears. Which is why it looks so attractive and if you increase the wheel and tyre diameter and width on the drive axal. Well enough said higher gearing to use the extra power for more speed and more rubber for better grip. Plenty of gizmos to sort speedo 200mph Z?????. without Nitro. Got to be something to aim for. Do you know any understanding Bankers and a silly drug to give the wife so she wakes up and understands the importance of such a project.

It's not the gravel or the grass that bothers me. It's meeting someone like me on the circuit. I do a lot of karting and if there's a gap I'm in it, but if someone else sees a gap I'll shout the door. When your racing its to win. My new paint Job might keep the demon under control but ya carn't be sure once the adrenalin starts pumping:D
  7. You'll have to buy Lukes new headlamps with 2 round projector lamps and indicator inco-operated into existing units. The Number plate could use the same place as on 99 spec bumper. He's thought this one out. The first headlamp units will be finish soon. Ihope they cime quicker than the intercoolers he's having fabricated."Sorry Luke":D

At the mo the car is auto. I've toyed with manual covertion but, someone at the Zclub told me about a tripotronic convertion with cemi circular paddle change. The management system allows auto or manual operation and is designed to act with Racelogic traction control and launch control. Waiting for further info on this. Then cost will be the decider as I will also have to upgrade the torc converter.
  9. F**k that is cool. I'm on the phone to luke right now:dance:
  10. Hi are these the same as the ones Luke at the Zcentre is talking about. With two round directional headlights and intergrate indicator so you can use the indicator openings as a extra vent for larger intercoolers.

Hi Everybody I'm new to your Site but not new to 300's. I would love to come to the Trackday. My car isn't very modifided engine wise (just induction kit, fuel and turbo mapping + 3" decat exhaust) and I don't like to loose, but what the heck count my in. Who ever puts in better times than me this time just watch out next year when I've had the engine and gearbox sorted. P.S don't touch the paintwork.
