  1. Maybe not Minehead, but the Holiday camp Idea is quite a good'n. Opens loads of possibilities
  2. Nurenburgh Ring! Sure you ought to? Don't want you going over any curbs and breaking anything else :slap:
  3. If it comes to spending 1600€ You may wish to purchase a different box. I have one that has been checked out by P & J Auto engineers. They replaced the main out put bearing and gave it a clean bill of health. So if you do need one I want £350.
  4. Faulty servo's? I'd still change the fluid if I was you.
  5. Well you should know :smash: :smash: :(  That'll be another one then.
  6. B**dy hell Fellas. Thanks I only just seen this and it has cheered me up no end. Better than your last weekend buddy. How the devil are you? You should be able to get a grant from the EU as a designated disaster area. Hells bells mate you have had some crap luck over the past few weeks. It put my problems into perspective. Hope your fit and well soon Leigh.
  7. Wanted manual when I got her, but got auto as it was the best car I could find and I knew the cars history. Converted to manual and now its a proper driver experience.
  8. Exactly Oh yes and the longevity of the rear tyres :slap:
  9. Might be selling mine in a couple of months as i'm planning a explosion wide arse and the Vortex woun't be wide enough. Will be having the same style though, but real BBS Le Mans split rims.
  10. Mine are missing after a garage took em off and still not returned them + the front bumper bracket with the tensioner wire and loads of stuff i won't go into. They should be there to chanel the air flo through the engine bay ang intercoolers.
  11. I've had a couple of Kenwoods and Blaupunkt and they are fine. However when i bought my latest C70 the sound quality of the sound system is amazing. the best I've ever hear. OK is got a 600 watt amp and 12 speakers, but it is simply awesome. So I had to find out who made the system for Volvo and it is Alpine. + Most new alpine system come with Ipod docking stations so it can be run via the head unit and you can ditch the CD and Mini disc changers. So my Kenwoo system is going and a proper Alpine system is going in. One with a proper individual bass, treble and balance/fade knobs and 12 matched speakers.
  12. No I think Poles are very useful and generally good workers.
  13. I got a short shifter off Ebay for £47. When it arrive it was a genuine Nissan Motorsport shifter. It came complete with new bushes and bolt and self locking nut. The guy is a trader but I cannot recall his name. The genuine Nissan ones are drop forged Veridium Chrome and have no gear nob. Only genuine Nissan or Nismo nobs fit.
  14. Go manual. It's more robust, more fun, cheeper to repair if it does go (which it shouldn't) and adds more value to the car if you need to sell it. Changing the fluid should help the old torque converter and try some of the fluid stuff for faster changes. I can't remember what its called but, dpmotorsport put some in mine when I had the auto box and it made loads of difference.
  15. I'm really sorry to hear this. I was only talking to him at Leons the weekend before and saying it was nice to see him in the land of the living again. He made it perfectly clear how much he hates being in hospital so he must be really jarred of. Is it the same hospital cos he said the nurses were all pretty ugly and morose. Tell him were thinking about him and hope he's out and about soon. P.S He'll want to sell his car now, but I carn't offer him much as its not standard anymore.
  16. If its all true it sound like a very good buy. Sorry I don't know it though.
  17. Good looks, really comfortable and a serious sports car that pulls like a train on amphetamines. If mine had ever done a 0 to 60 in anything more than 5 seconds I'd have had it burnt out and claimed the insurance. Had mine six years and personally done 90,000 mile in her before the head gasket went. She had an induction kit. boost valve jobby thing and good exhaust system when I got her so never knowm what a standard Z is like. They are a bast*rd to work on because you connot have that power and technology squashed into such a small space and think its going to be like working on a Astra. Parts are easy to get hold of from Nissan, plenty US suppliers, Z club and including some really good people on here who'll not only grt you the parts but if your a club member you'll get serious dicounts. Most important thing though is the people on this club forum are sound. You only need to go to any large events to realize that most members of the other Jap car clubs are complete t*ssers. Only for Turbo changes and engine rebuilds. However it is tight in there, but most of your best experienses will be in tight holes that result in being a bit of a bitch to live with. The rewards are worth it so long as you don't stray too far away from standard. That potentionally means realistic 450bhp. which in Skyline, Evo, Impretzia and Supra land means 600bhp. Once you start looking for serious HP it gets really painful and usually you run out of dosh or sanity stops you from remortgaging before its too late. It's not a Lambo and never will be. Neither is a Supra. Though a Supra may be a cheeper car to run in the long run. Not if you keep it simple and realize 450ish BHP is the limit for reliability. NEXT BEST THING FFS. The 300zx is beautiful, but the Supra is Hidious. Which would you rather be seen with. A) a sleek bird thats good looking and not your run of the mill or B) a ugly bulbous rotund bird whos as comon as muck. and as for quickest. I'd say if you ask that question i'd proberbly be quicker than you if you were in a Supra and I was in a Fiesta. OOOOOOOOOOWW beware the Fiesta man will get you

Pitty its not a 300zx full stop. Tis a nice arse though Rich.
  19. I'd always forget about a clifford. Having had one that was poorly fitted it kept my car off the road for 3 months.
  20. Carrot Orange Papia Peach Lemon Apricot well thats my frit shopping for the day Did someone say something?
  21. Beacause someone else has Mark and MarkR and Marrkz. Just trial and error till one worked. Oh yes and because I'm called Mark which I think is an amazing coincidence :slap:
  22. Did you have the engine rebored? How many miles has it done? Were the bores checked? Apparently, or so I'm told (so this cold be complete boll*cks) the bores ware slightly oval and when you put new pistons and rings in it can take up to a 1000 miles for them to bed in properly. so you do get some oil passing the rings at first unless the bore is rebored and first oversize pistons used.
  23. Holy camolly! I bet your Hopping mad after spending all that money on your engine. I'm really sorry for ya Chris. Don't despare mate. Remember the garage I told you about? could be a cost effective way of getting it sorted Leon at Alunox did it to a auto with standard Tub's. Also Middlehurst's always insisted on removing Turbos while engine was in siuation so as to avoid moving engine loom. Apparently they would remove the box and had a couple of addapted tools. All the guys they had to doo all the tuning work on Zed's have moved on to ????? but i'm sure I know where they aint gone. :smash: :smash:
  24. unless you've uprated the injector sizes, Turbo's and fuel mapping for 450bhp + then the front mount isn't going to do you much good. If your coolers are too big they can loose hp as much as too small. Your coolers should reflect what your upgrades require. However front mount look very bling. Chris at Get Greddy is selling both Greddy front mount and a different make side mount that doo look nice. Or Paul at Smithy's place is selling Greddy side mounts. Get your self subscribed and you'll save yourself a lot more than the £20 membership fee on you first purchase from either of these guys on either of these cooler set ups. Its just like having a computor. You should deside what you want to do and how much you can throw at it. Then buy what you require, but start with the basics first. Like induction, exhaust, chip and boost controler. Even with standard coolers you'll see arm wrenching power increases.
