  1. Yeah it sounded like a joke then read through a bit and thought he was upset for people who don't help, I normally try help if I can but half the time im useless at explaining things.. Can never get the words, sentences out properly lol..

  3. Or get some m10 threaded rod, cut it down put it in the hole then drill that and tap it..
  4. Does it have to be flush, U can get m10 to m8 adapter but it will be sticking out... What material is it in and what is it for, if its say steel can u not fill hole with weld drill and re tap the thread...

Nearly TE=Steams;1715750]That's the way mate, protect the zed at all costs..lol Mine slide of the front ramps while I was jacking the rear and my only thought was to get between it and the garage to prevent the backend being stoved in. Got flattened by it but no damage to the car so all was well :) learnt a lesson that day. Nearly Every time I work on my zed I get a scar lol, another time with cbr on here i got the box on the back of engine then jacked up box to get mount bolted to the body and jack slipped out, engine and box come down and hit me on the finger and my eyebrow. I was looking at my finger when danny cbr said u better come out from under there. He noticed the nice slit in my eyebrow. Its crazy what we go through for a car lol...
  8. Sure pin44 is neutral switch, and sure it runs to earth when out of gear, no 12v supply there. U want camera to come on when in reverse id wire it to reverse lights, would be easiest to trace and just run the wire to where u wanna go..

  10. Im skinny no arnie lol. But didnt tell anyone to lift it just saying I find it easier, Main point was jack up front of engine cause that makes a big difference... This is what happened 1st time I done a manual conversion, The autobox fell out on my arm, I needed stitches on the biggest cut thats why 1 of the scars is so wide, but the zed was more important I wrapped arm up and got the manual box in. Left it to long to have stitches, so it took ages to heal, That was about 6yrs ago, done a few conversions since then I allways make sure a jack is under autobox now.

Hi mate take the 4 turbo pipes at top front of engine, then use a bit of wood on a jack near front pulley, This will raise front of engine and drop the back giving u a better angle to slide box on. I don't use a jack for gearbox I lay on my back head towards front of car slide box onto my legs, then onto my chest and lift it with my arms and knees. I find this much easier and do most gearbox like this. But don't do it unless u feel comfortable doing it. I use to do clutches all nearly every day and found this the easiest way for me. But the jacking bit makes a big difference, I layed under someone elses zed and it would not go on jacked it up and it went straight on..
  13. Whenever this type clutch is changed u should change the slave cylinder, the pressure on new plate and maybe pushing at slightly different angle the buggers end up popping. Normally end up having to change your new clutch again too, fluid bursts over friction plate and contaminates it, similar to rear brake shoes when a cylinder goes, then they start breaking up.. I fitted a new clutch in an astravan for my old boss, the tight git went euro car parts bought cheapest cylinder they do, job i was doing was mobile mechanic, so after my days work fitted it in a car park in Walthamstow. It didn't make it out the car park before it burst, I took it back to euros and they said they had loads of the cheaper ones do it. Got the dearer one and fitted next night with no problems.. Think it was like 45 for cheaper or 65 the better one and I ended up doing job twice wasn't amused..
  14. Unsure on blow off valves mate, if u tried everything else, can u not take them off. And try recircs. Has said I had blitz dump valves and they leaked inside the system, it run fine but couldn't make much boost funny thing is it was around 12-13psi too. Good luck
  15. I just bought gt2560r turbos too, what they like hope there good lol. Take it u dont have dump valves. other then dump valves, try pulling pipes off has u said leave actuator side open block the other side. If it boost more then u know its to do with controller or something like that.

  19. I've made them bungs a few times from an old socket lol, find the right size turn the welder up and fill the hole. They never leaked yet. Good find jeff..

  23. If u cant make no more boost, try unplug it has u say and see if it boost right up being careful. I had a similar problem on my zed, tried everything, then 1 day I took my dump vaves off put recircs back on has pulled off boost went to about 21psi. From what I could make out dumpvalves were leaking inside and wouldnt let it make no more boost. Have u got dump valves..
