  1. Couple of pics of calipers, next to the zed not that much bigger are they worth the hassle. Think they use 320mm disc..
  2. Hi guys, Got given a set of brembo calipers from a bmw 840i, Are they worth making fit on a zed.. The paint is scruffy where they been in a box, I'll post some photos later but look a lot bigger then stock.. Any help appreciated..
  3. Both sides can be done with engine in. The work shop manual says to do it with engine in, Drivers side turbo u need to remove master cylinder, Passnger side I found to be the hardest but still can be done, I found the main thing is tools need to be good quality, things like air ratchets help in tight spots but not essential, And if any bolts are rusty/seized u have had it lol. The worse bits are the annoying little tabs that go round the nuts holding the turbo's on.. Good luck..
  4. I have bought wheels from them and we use them at work for new wheel nuts, spigot rings etc. They aligned my standard zed once too, They are really good..
  5. Sorry I think I got that wrong, just read turbo builds up pressure which will push wastgate open once pressure is higher then the actuator is set at. So the boost controller uses vacuum which sucks on the actuator stopping wastegate from opening untill the set pressure is met then it will bleed it away.. But either way u should only need one pipe...
  6. Sure it will be fine, i dont know much about how they work but it looks like the valve stops the vacum opening the actuator, so once boost pressure is met the valve will link the pipes together and open wastegates. So u need both actuators joined together so they open together, but u should only need one pipe to do the sucking lol. I may be wrong, has said I don't know that much about them. Maybe try with one side if works ok leave it if not join them together.
  7. U can if u like but really it only needs one side.
  8. Sorry if its crap done it on my phone, But think it should be like this, I had a profec controller and only used 2 of the 3 pipes yours says to use 3 pipes so must be something like this. Someone should come along and say if its right..
  9. Handy pic shows u how to chuck all the junk in the bin too...
  10. Solenoid should have com and no written on it, just do it like pic above once u start doing it you'll work it out lol..
  11. It looks good but if I had choice now wouldnt start it ive been in that bloody engine bay for months and ended up with bigger holes then when I started lol. If the panels dont come how I want them, then im gonna find it missing from my drive when I wake up.. Cause im sick of welding, grinding, sanding then cutting it all back out again cause im a fussy ****er and useless at bodywork. But I got my fingers crossed, they make it right, and it does look so clean
  12. Last boost controller I had, had 3 pipes and u used one or the other think one side was for external and other internal waste gates..
  13. Dont know if this helps,
  14. They do look good when done, heres some pics of smooth bays... Red one has the bits I need they were made on an english wheel, how I wish I was more clever and could do these things lol...

  16. Your right there, problem is no one would or could do it how I wanted it, I didn't mind spen spending the money either to have it done in metal, but everywhere I called said they would have to use filler over it I got it looking like this, it looked really smooth and good but its useless if its only gonna last year or two and crack up So they reckon it will look like this with no filler, get panels in 2wks will see then .

  18. I had it looking fine, then relocated everything cut bulges out and welded up all the holes, Got it looking really good again and all smooth, but had to use quite bit of fillet, moved a bracket and it flexed the metal and filler cracked. So I did a test today and opposite side of panel to where the filler is I gave it a little whack with my hand and filler cracked everywhere. So now gonna have a smooth engine bay look but all in metal no filler. So atleast I know it wont crack or bubble up now and will all be done properly.
