He didn't I did lol... Dont panic on a zed its easy, just turn engine over using a socket on front pulley. Line a bolt up with the hole for starter motor, then do the next working your way to there all tight. Easy peasy...

Hi mate put it in gearbox 1st, then just bolt torque to the plate through the starter hole One bolt at a time, use the front pulley to rotate engine to next bolt lines up with starter hole.. If u would have left torque in gearbox u wouldn't have lots of oil dripping out that I bet u had lol... Good luck mate...

Hi guys, Got my new shell home, going to start swapping all the bits over. But I have na rear end which I want to put on the new shell, but new shell has the newer electronic hicas. On the older system u can unplug one connector on the hicas ecu and leave the other one plugged in, Lets u keep your speed assisted steering, and turns hicas off. Just had a quick look and couldn't see the hicas ecu in the foot well, and theres an ecu in the boot which aint on my older car is this the hicas ecu. Is there a way of unplugging it and keeping assisted steering.. Any help appreciated.

The wire u moved sounds like temperature sensor for inside the car.. U must have disturbed somthing why u was down there, to stop indicators working. The only thing u can do is pull the lights back out and inspect all the wiring...

Make sure when u put the plugs back in u start them by hand, get a few turns before using ratchet. They should thread all the way in by hand then use a ratchet to fully tighten them. Seen so many people put plugs in and cross thread them, especially when there deep. 10mm spark plug socket and an extension bar, u will want a 12mm and 10mm socket too.

Sure when I done mine I just pulled the alternator off, was quicker and less painful...alternator is easy to get off...
