Still getting a swooshing noise at abs pump the whole time the pedal is sinking the fluid u can hear going through the pump.... this car drives me nuts....

Yep bleed everywhere, just changed abs pump, and still the same... Getting pressure at every nipple but lock them up and I get a full pedal that just sinks slowly, while misses holds the brakes I cant turn the front wheels but the rears turn so looking like its something on the rears.... any other car id say master cylinder the way it is but I've tried 2 that I know both worked fine. gonna try and power bleed it tomorrow, have one of those kits u plug on a car wheel and push the fluid through cant see it being air I done this on a zed a million times and never had any trouble,

Hi guys, Having issues with my bloody brakes... trying to bleed the brakes, and pedal keeps sinking. clamped the rubber hose at each caliper one by one but pedal still sinks, Tried another master cylinder and still sinks. checked for leaks and nothing, Only thing I have noticed is when im bleeding at abs pump u here the fluid hissing while pumping like its releasing the pedal pressure inside the pump. starting to think its a valve in the pump open is this possible lol... Anyone got any ideas..

hi mate, next to the main engine ecu in the passanger footwell theres a smaller ecu for the hicas has 2 connectors going to it... if u unplug 1 connector it will make the steering heavy plug that 1 back in and un plug the other that will keep the speed assisted steering but disable the hicas... hope that helps... if u are still unsure tonight i can post a pic of the ecu and connectors.

Does it sound like grinding, I bought an na setup from jeff... when I fitted it there was a grinding horrible noise and it was the diff.. slick pete sorted me out a diff and I met him at mike feeneys to pick it up mike asked if I drained the oil which I had and it was dark and thick and sticky, he said the name of what part had gone in the diff but I cant remember lol. but put the new diff on and noise was gone...

Lol, I dont normally work that bad but I had to throw everything out the zed... ive got so many bits of zeds I can't help being messy...

I got some new seats....just need to cover door pads and all the dash trim in blue....get rid of that tweed.

Heres some more pics.... fitted all the panels and bumper etc to make sure they fit right, trying to get all the gaps small and even has possible, I think its starting to look pretty good....just need it all in white lol....

Hi mate take the t bar off there should be 2 holes each side of the car I normally pour a little water through each hole and see if it comes out the bottom of the car. The fronts are behind the wings about half way up the car, these are the ones that are normally the problem it seems like the pipe inside strinks a little and pulls itself out the rubber part that comes out behind the wing. Then the water runs into fusebox etc. The rears run through a tube inside the rear quarters if u take the rear cards off u will see them, I've never had a problem with these and a lot of people blame the rust on these but my old car was an 1989 and the one I have now is a 1990 and the sills have no rust. I reckon the problem is, they get blocked and flood the sills, or has above they shrink and the water flows into the car, Has long has its flowing out they seem to work quite good....

Yeah did bleed it through 2 nipples on abs pump... But the newer cars have different abs pump. Cant drive the car yet so can't test it, really just wanted to know if the new master cylinder is ok on an older car.... The cylinder I have came from a 1995, and its on a 1991 zed... Anyone know if theres any difference between the older and later spec master cylinders... I know the early ones leaked so on my car I've used a later spec one and its slightly different to look at but it bolts up the same. Only reason im asking I kicked my car off the the bloody axle st a nds trying to bleed the brakes. The fronts bled up nice but the rears u really had yo stand on the pedal to get them to work. Wondering if the bias is set up slightly different, Any help appreciated.

Im not selling my car so I put it back to 0 so when my new engine is built and I get to drive the bloody thing I can see how many miles I have done before it goes bang again lol....

And try getting a jack under a zed with no wheels sitting on the deck, thats what I call low :lol:

Hi guys... Spent today putting all the calipers back on, bleeding all the brakes, got the carpet dash and most of interior back in.... But....while bleeding the brakes I pushed the pedal a bit to hard with 1 leg on the pedal and 1 outside the car and kicked the car straight off the axle stands lol... There was a wheel under the front directly below my brand new 99 spec bumper, the bumper wrapped right round the wheel, it was so bent was expecting it to have had it, but when I jacked car off the wheel the bumper went straight back to normal....glad its not fibre glass. But the jack that was on the diff slid along snapped couple of fins off the diff then bent my fuel tank in half after I took it all to metal and resprayed it.. But i was expecting the jack or a axle stand to have gone through the floor, or the wheel to have split my bumper, so to be honest im glad its only the tank, Got another tank at me mums so it just means cleaning up and refitting another. Didn't bother with no pics today I was to pissed off, but now im not that bothered I'll take some tomorrow, it actually looks like a car its all together but about 10 different colours lol....

Hi guys, Im busy putting my zed back together, but ive forgotten how the clutch booster pipe work and reservoir goes... Dont suppose any one knows of a diagram or has a photo... When I converted my 1st zed I worked it all out but I've gone brain dead lol. Any help appreciated....

Hi mate there fiddly, I pointed the top down towards the cross member. its kind of hard to explain but it does go in without scratching it up. Where in essex are u if u get stuck, I have to pick my work van up from dagenham. I could probably come round and help u.

Oh and that blue heat sheild is cause that was the only high heat paint I had left. Its cleaner then it was but aint gonna see it anyhow lol.
