Was reversing into the driveway about an hour ago like I do every day - pitch black (the driveway is surrounded on 3 sides) when: bump, bump, CRACK, BANG BANG. Stop the car sharpish, ease forward slightly to get CRACK, BANG, GROAN (not from me) Look up at the skies with that "oh God what have I done now" sort of look. Heart stopped for about 3 seconds. Went round the back and the nearside section of the rear bumper had bent almost 180 degrees back over itself - it had got caught on a fence post! :cry: :cry: :cry: It was still trapped against the fence enough for me to be unable to fix it, so had to pull forward (tried turning left to bring the rear out a little). THUMP THUMP CRACK. Pulled up, looked up at the sky again, went round the back of the car. The bent over piece of the bumper had dropped back a little - to sticking out by 90 degrees. There was a metal panel which ran along the top of the bumper with a screw hole at the end (next to the rear wheel arch) which I could push back into place (although there was no screw to be seen - both holes were intact). And hey presto all you can notice now is a small dint and a few light scratches. Compare that to what it had been like 30 seconds before and you'd never believe it. I cant believe this bumper had folded basically in HALF and folded back out again with very minimal damage. :bow: :bow: Just as I was closer to sorting out my knackered front bumper, the rear one tried to commit suicide. Maybe it was trying to tell me something as it's a slightly different shade of white to the rest of the car.

Dont know about Jay, but my Z is running a JWT (but a JD map is going in soon so twill be interesting to see if theres any difference). Strangely I only got the deposits once converted from auto to manual :confused:

hmmm, i think that clip would have been good, but only if: a) it wasnt an mr2, and b) the car actually accellerated at a decent rate, lol. then it would have been pretty cool.

ive got the same problem, a layer of black powder all across my rear bumper. i think its cos the car's running rich. apparently any Conzults are coming up clear.

there are temporary average speed cameras (SPECS i think) around junction 20 and 21 of M1 due to road works, but it wouldnt surprise me in the least if even more have gone up :headvswal

yeah good point. you should have slammed your brakes on - he was a) tailgating you and b) on the phone while driving - a review of his calling records would have proven this to the police. he would have been screwed. w@nker :mad:
