:( :( sorry to hear that Dave. Like Rich says just come along anyway - there'll be hundreds of cars in the carpark you can hide the scort in. ;)
  2. 8 :hyper: i couldnt tell which type of white it was until i found it parked next to an arctic white one
  3. hmm... what a... rewarding game ;)
  4. not sure whether its a mis-type but the engines specified are VG30DE (non-tubby) and VG30DET (which AFAIK is the single-tubby Z31), although the years stated are right. might be best to clarify this with him first.
  5. I must be the world record-holder with 1,200 miles. :hyper: Pre '91, Jap, aftermarket oil cooler, lost 3rd and 4th. converted to manwell.
  6. no-one mentioned those £20 eBay mods that "add 20bhp+ to your engine" ;) ;) ssshhhhh

ok im not very good with directions but the best way (from Leicester city centre) is to follow the signs to Wigston, then get onto the A5199 Welford Road (going south-east), past 'McDonalds roundabout', past Little Hill estate, then turn off past Shearsby. IIRC the way into the grounds is where the purple triangle is in the 2nd picture, although it should be pretty obvious how to get in ( Alternatively a couple of us are meeting up at Asda Oadby car park and leaving there about 9:45 to get to the grounds just after 10am. Postcode for asda is LE2 4AH if you want to bung that into Multimap.

ok guys any more for any more? i dont have much time left to post the tickets out to you. There are no more exhibitor passes Im afraid - just guest passes (which still give you full access to the event). Directions to the proving ground coming next...
  9. look at the picture. that's the queue of people behind him saying "Are you gonna let us have a go mate??!" and he's saying "lol, over my dead body." sorry. interesting story tho.

ok to start off seriously: Exterior Styling: Front Bumper (wings west, stillen are my favourites) Rear Bumper (whichever takes your fancy) Sideskirts (as above) Rear Spoiler (medium-level / tailgate tub / smoothed etc.) Nose panel (loads of types) Interior Styling: Steering wheel (Momo) Vinyl trim (replace the tweed) Dial rims A-pillar triple pod (more functional than styling but makes it look  ) Misc. bits - pedals / gaitors etc. Tuning: Zorst ApexI intake Boost controller (ApexI AVC-R, Blitz SBC-iD or GReddy Profec B/E) Good chip (JWT, JD, own map) HKS ALC2 (if automatic) or RPS street clutch (if manual)
  13. they were PHNW pipes - apparently custom-made for the 300. Zedworld said they were a perfect fit (as was the pipes' reputation). the pipes didnt replace the small part at the turbo (that some people replace with 'divorced' versions - sorry I cant remember what these bits are called) - they only replaced the centre-section. ive had this problem since before fitting the decats - but its never been this bad. :(
  14. ive just watched it from start to finish and i think all of the coppers acted 100% professionally and didnt put a foot wrong (pun NOT intended!) in fact i think they were waaay too lenient for such a threat. not only did they have the monster to deal with, but halfway through you see 2 or 3 lads (probably pissed) hanging around - one of the coppers has to leave the arrest to deal with them. as for the head bang - i reckon the black guy did it accidentally as he stepped up into the van - he rises up far too quick for even the two coppers to have deliberately pushed him into the roof. hats off to all 5 coppers. shame on the media for sniffing a potential story and promotion out of it. my thruppence-worth :D
  15. ok Greg thanks for that. although ive had this problem (or rather my car has) for several months, its only very recently that is got much worse. the car was de-catted last week (2-piece kit so AFAIK doesnt touch the turbo side) and i was told that it was a perfect fit. is this a coincidence - decat then noise and crap performance? not noticed any dreaded blue smoke yet (although i get a bit when i first start her up for the day then it goes away - makes my heart stop) EDIT: ok just taken 'it' (not calling the Z 'her' at the moment  ) for a drive and the blowing noise is definately audible from outside. it seems to be slightly worse! this also makes me think of another noise ive been hearing - a constant whistle all the time - like having your window a tiny bit down and wind whistling in. also while decelerating (but not necessarily braking) comes another whistle! sounds exactly like squeaky breaks but im not braking!! is this all down to an exhaust leak nr tubbies? im really not a Z fan at the moment
  16. what sort of job would this be to fix Greg?

  18. no-one will know what happened and what was said in the heat of the 'arrest' but if i were one of those police officers and was confronted with a large black, ex-para, army boxing champion smashing up a bus stop i'd make damn sure the guy was subdued - for the safety of myself, the other officers involved, and the nearby public. what if he'd have stepped back and pulled out a knife or gun? imagine how terrified onlookers would have been - seeing this guy smash the place up?
  19. the Apexi AFC or SAFC (Airflow Controller) will modify the intake reading to allow you to adjust (i believe) the richness of the mixture. always best to leave to the experts as if you fook about with it you can run mega rich, or even worse... mega-lean... BANG! AFAIK theyre not so effective on the Z - more popular on Mitsis
  20. fook! there's a nasty little surprise there for someone wanting to race (what appeares to be) a monkeyed-up transit!!! how can it not be noisy inside?

ok guys im sending the passes out tomorrow. thanks for the response so far  The standard 'guest' passes (plus £5 at the gate) will get you and the occupants of your car into the event for the day. Park up in the main car park and enjoy the day. These guest passes for some reason suggest they might be exhibitor passes (they talk about 100db noise limit, cars being road-legal etc.) but they're not. The exhibitor passes (i'm basically posting out to you a guest pass plus an exhibitor pass) will get you into the event (plus £5 donation), but also access to the track - taking members of the public (who have donated a fiver to the charity) one at a time around the track in your Z. For exhibitors/lunatics there is a briefing at 9am on the Sunday morning - regarding safety/practice laps/etc. The gates open at 8am but unless you need to turn up at 9 for the briefing, its probably best to start getting there at 10ish onwards. please let me know if there are any other questions.

  23. half a bar is near enough safety boost but youve ruled that out i had the inverse problem a few months ago as i was spiking at 19psi  and it was suggested to me that the wastegate actuator(s) were stuck closed. its a possibility that youve got the opposite problem. theres not a boost controller hidden away somewhere in your car? or a crappy manual boost controller (ive no idea how these work) just trying to throw some ideas at you
  24. my Zs had this problem for several weeks now but just recently its been getting louder/more often. the harder i put my foot on the throttle, the louder this strange ticking noise becomes - originating from behind the steering column of all places, as far as i can tell. im not sure if its audible from outside the car - maybe it is. i seem to hear it as i drive through a narrow built-up area too. the noise is a 'plastic' ticking, not a metal ticking if you know what i mean - almost sounds like a wrist watch ticking, but about ten times as fast. problem gets worse as the engine warms up. performance has also dropped a lot too :( :( boost seems ok - aftermarket gauge reads 11psi max, oddly with boost jets removed and knackered boost controller switched off (although this problem occured while i was on jets - but only after having the jets installed for a long time so im sure its nothing to do with them) Apexi SAFC shows throttle position accurately from 0% to 100% any ideas anyone as im stumped?
  25. lol i don't have one!!! i used to want one but now they officially look like frog pooh ive gone off them a bit
