just ignore them - racing them (and of course burning them off) shows that youre kind of in the same league as them. ignoring them will pi$$ them off. i stuck a "twin turbo" sticker on the back (as per UK-spec i think) to try and warn off would-be dickheads like that. will let you know if its worked...

jets are basically mig welding tips which you can pick up from any hardware store for pennies. the smaller the hole, the higher the boost. 1.2mm is a good place to start (will get you 11-ish psi), 1mm is good fun (13/14ish) but can spike to dodgy levels (15/16). some risk-takers like to put in 0.8mm and run high levels of boost (goodbye tubbies unless theyre uprated). TBH i got my JWT and jets from ebay for about £80 and am well happy with them - although im upgrading both ecu and controller soon. try ebay or the traders on here.

they are superb, but theyre not a boost controller - they tweak the oil line pressure in AUTOboxes at shift-up, making them quicker. deffo recommended if you have an auto. if youre looking at upping boost, start with a JWT chip and 1mm or 1.2mm jets [safe option] - should be less than £100 easily if you shop around. this will give you a much-noticeable increase in performance. then when youre getting bored with it - another chip (speak to John Dixon on this forum) and boost controller

autos are quoted by nissan as being ONE AND A HALF SECONDS slower than a manual!! :eek: although having said that i really dont think there's much in it. TBH since mine was converted from auto to manual it seems a little slower in a straight line, but the kit was 2nd hand and could be in any sort of condition. autos are supposed to be quicker to 100mph tho.

im trying im trying!!! i cant convert the MP4 and 3GP to MPG/AVI! the only software out there that can do it is either shoite or costs £1 million. Boldy - e-mail them to me if you cant host them and i'll put them up for you mate ;)

while youre waiting for a replacement ptu - just check the wiring either side of it to see if its come loose (unless theyre clamped or tied down they can be knocked out/loose dead easy). also a wet air filter can cause similar symptoms.

mine's got five wires! black, white, red, orange and green :confused: i can tell which 3 are purely for the backlight as someone else fitted my boost gauge - i took the right-hand cluster apart to follow the lead and undid the taping to find out how he connected it up to the headlight switch. the destructions say: green [signal wire], red [acc on], black [- ground], white [night lamp], orange [battery +] but the drawing only shows one terminal when there are in fact two as in Steve's picture above!!!
