  1. lol i look like Steve Martin and Timothy Dalton. not sure what to make of that really
  2. mine's used every day through necessity - no second car yet. kind of looking for a cheap knacker to run around in.
  3. funny you should say that - the 'Bible Code' says that a nuclear war will start in either 2006 or 2016. not to scare anyone or anything... ...but it did apparently predict the death of Princess Diana. (etc.)
  4. :p some good ones there. All true of course.
  5. this is all great advice - ive got a similar problem. would it be possible for someone to highlight where all these pipes and connections are on the engine bay by numbers piccie as I want to check some of them myself.
  6. at E.T. me and a couple of my lads were out in the rain yesterday too (at work that is) - about 8pm. all was nice and sunny, then grey, then someone flicked a giant switch and it absolutely hammered it down!!! wicked thunder and lightning tho
  7. Happy Birthday mate. :hyper: :duffer:
  8. Hello mate and a (belated) welcome to the forum. Not seen the price of this Z for sale and although it might look like a bargain for what youre getting, the running costs are extremely high. Make sure youre in a well-paid job before even thinking about buying one :D (see, nice is guuurd, lol :) ) ((and LMFAO at TMTTP :D   ))
  9. looks like he was reared by a 60-tonne truck!!!
  10. err thats a damn good price for those!!! id be tempted meself if i wasnt forking out on everything else for my Z. :(
  11.  OMG! really sorry to hear that mate. at least everyone is ok. im sure it'll turn out fine soon.
  12. almost deffo the AIVs - easy job - front nearside wheel off, pull back a bit of wheel arch, undo a pipe and pour the lovely yellow crap onto the driveway. re-attach and job done. until a few days later when it happens again
  13. nice piccie - have you got the html link? :D :D
  14.  thats the one!
  15. item title is: "porsche 944 not standard crap" ... should be "porsche 944 modified crap"  absolutely terrible. i wish someone would keep an archive of all these shite cars
  16. people who take up 2 spaces are idiots (generally) but NOT if youve parked out the way in what sounds like a half-empty car park (it probably was hakf-empty after you kicked off, lol) :)
  17. got some bubbling on the stock spoiler (common) and a couple of very small patches at the driver's door pillar. fingers crossed.
  18. Hi mate and welcome to the club. I'll try and answer what I can. Like TMTTPub and Legrath have said, aftermarket autobox oil cooler is a must before you do anything else! Decatting has always been a touchy subject - the general consensus is that if youre rear seals were on the way out, they will go pretty much as soon as you decat. If your seals are fine, then they will decat fine too. I decatted 2 months ago and not had the dreaded blue smoke (yet). As far as the ECU and boost controller go - you need them both - the boost controller is the only thing that can up your boost (bar jets but you obviously dont need them), and the ECU (Mines  ) provides the correct fuelling at higher-than-stock boost levels. Stock ECU generally means detonation at high boost :( Octane boosters - crap. phew i need a beer.
  19. I think there are a lot of valid points in this thread - but the one that annoys me most is threadjacking and going completely off-topic. Someone will post up a genuine call for help and before you know it the thread's talking about something else. I'm sure its happened loads of times - Ive probably done it myself before, but let's try and respect the thread-starter and keep changes in topic for a different thread. As far as newbies go, I've always been told that "the right word at the right time" is the best way of fixing things. Maybe a subtle polite PM to a newbie who has, shall we say, started off with the wrong tone (eg. "cor wikid what carz can my Z rippp?") just to say "hi mate. careful of that last post of yours cos we often get people like that asking otherwise inappropriate questions and some members get frustrated" [blahdy blahdy blah im not really good with words like that] to stop the pi$$-taking from starting and it all getting all out of control. my tuppence over (and where's the rant smiley Mike?) :D
  20. shlumph!!!
