  1. I dont own one but used one once, had a go and cleaning the seats in the car I use for work, which means the seats would be a bit grubby and it made no difference.
  2. Well its not perfect and I can see you getting burnt there mate, but to be honest I did all mine without the use of a steamer or iron, it was the first time I had done anything like this and I am happy with the end result and have had many compliments on it but I have since learnt and as people have said on here, a steamer helps a lot with all the corners etc.
  3. I used bodyline hight temp trim adhesive, comes in an aerosol, 1ltr brush on tin and 250ml brush on tin, available from all Partco motor factors and that was a couple of years ago with no bits fallen off since. As others have said, apply to both surfaces to be bonded and a steamer is your friend. HTH

Im jealous, have a good time and a safe journey mate. :)
  6. Thats just a picture I got off ebay and its a 250, I cant read what the panel says even with my glasses on.
  7. A good origional LCII is going up in value but I still prefer the origional LC, I think its the memories from years gone by on one that tempt me. I have decided tonight I am going to look for one, nice and origional that needs work so I can strip it and rebuild it just like it was when it left the factory.
  8. There are so many things it could be and I remember you saying it needed a few bits sorting so maybe start with going round all the connectors and cleaning them if they need it ... BUT .... I reckon its jealous of the black SWB parked next to it so sell that to me and the other car will perk up and start first time.... and you cant blame me for trying.
  9. Reading about 2 strokes has got me thinking about one of these again, had one many many years ago and have some brilliant memories, might have a look round see whats available, something that I can rebuild and bring back to its origional glory, white with blue stripes just like my old one. :)
  10. Im tempted, had a Ducati lined up to buy this week but it fell through Sunday so I am bike less right now.
  11. woohoo, just glad your ok bud .......
  12. your just showing off now ....
  13. Posh gits, whats wrong with a 2ltr coke bottle ....
  14. your right, its to adjust the beam.
  15. Speak to Smithy he does them.
  16. I washed mine once, did them outside then tried to get them in the washer to spin them ...... she was not impressed .....
  17. I bought the high temp one because a bloke recommended it, cant remember why now, I got it from Partco, HTH.
  18. Are you sure they are buggered and its not the spoiler full of water?
  19. yup, used caraudiodirect as well with no problems.
  20. last two, I used a high temp trim tack aerosol glue.
  21. I did mine a couple of years ago but I am going to get it redone professionally this year. I removed all the old tweed except for what was on the doors, used that as a template for cutting out the new alcantara and got an Aunt to do the stitching as the alcantara would not sit right on the tight corners. I used an expensive alcantara which I have been told is a lot more difficult to use but has a much better feel about it, I have attahced some pics but bear in mind it is a couple of years old now and not looking as good as it did when first done.
  22. That picture reminds me of an old Celica I had, I took it to a man to have the carbs setup properly and he stuck one end of a long screwdriver to each carb in turn, the other end to his ear and set them up. At the time I thought he was taking the piss but the car flew like never before from that day on so I never questioned it.
  23. Does it have HIDs or standard bulbs?
