  1. Easy to fit like dipone said and to be honest you will only notice a difference if you had a grounding problem to start with. But it helps with the electrical system and the problematic heater matrix so worth doing.
  2. Was that because it was soldered incorrectly?
  3. Check that the long blue connector that goes onto the ECU is seated properly, if the centre nut holding it on is not tight enough it wont connect properly and too tight it tends to bow, again not connecting properly. This can cause the coughing and spluttering and sometimes failure to start as you mentioned. Thats the easiest cure, from then on its faulty chip or soldered incorrectly.
  4. We got him in the boot in the end, I dumped the body in the layby at Mendlesham, if anybody asks, you aint seen me, right.
  5. Mine were done well over a year ago so probably before your group buy and as with most things will have gone up.
  6. Just looked at the bill for mine and it was exactly £100 but that was a while ago so might have gone up, I rang them and spoke to the girl on reception and she knew exactly what I was talking about, sent a cheque with the inserts and they were returned the same week all shiney. Just be careful as some of the inserts are pitted from years in the sun in Japan, if yours are like that then its best to get a better set from AndyZ.
  7. I believe it was about £100 if you send them the inserts, best to give them a ring on 01932 563434
  8. We have our own astrologist, look like we can have weekly horoscopes as well now. :D
  9. Thats it, I used the rubber feet people put under the legs of furniture to cap them off, fits just right with a cable tie over them just to make sure as it will suck crap into the engine if they came off.
  10. Yup, removed all them and capped it off.
  11. comes up for me, can anyone else see it?
  12. Well they need to be nice and tight so it could be a reason for not being able to hear anything, these are the bits I removed, might be an idea to do that while you are ripping the CC out if they are still there. clickety click
  13. If we meet there again we should move the cars into the back car park as it was empty and arrange them in a circle for better photos.
  14. Rather than mess up the other thread anymore about the carbon canister mate I will ask here, what air intake pipes were undone? I removed most of mine when I fitted the Blitz filter as they are made redundant.
  15. Looks to be pretty much what I did bud.
  16. What made the CC break though?
  17. Yes mate, took mine off a while ago with no problems, its just part of the emmision control, only problem I can see is if it fails the MOT on emmsions but thats unlikely.
  18. I seem to remember someone laid plastic over the rear bucket seat then filled the bucket part with expandable foam to make the child seat fit better and safer, just thought I would mention incase its of interest.
  19. Nice to meet you all today, lets start thinking about the next one so I can organise something other than black Zeds to be there :D
  20. Took mine off a while ago with no ill affect.
  21. There should be 2 polystyrene tool holders either side with 3 pieces of hardboard on metal legs under the carpet in the boot.
  22. Thought they said dogs and their owners look alike .... I was expecting a German Shepard you ol studmuffin, cute dog though.
