  1. They are a good modification once they are working fine, had loads of problems with mine when first fitted such as flickering lights, one or the other working when it wanted when damp and this was the cure after months of messing around with everything else.
  2. The fuse will either blow and they would not work or be ok, if you have a problem with flickering or intermittent lights its not the fuse.
  3. Dont let the ballast case touch the bodywork, cut a piece of plastic to mount them on and use a nylon washer on the bolt.
  4. Do your ballasts have a metal case or plastic one?
  5. Aluminium bonnets were factory fitment.
  6. They would remove the aux belts to do the cam belt and could easily have overtightened them, the noise starting 4 months after them being done would make me suspect this first. If it is a cambelt pulley your right you should not really drive it. It is a lot of work to replace in comparision to a pulley, your best bet is visting a decent local garage and getting them to diagnose rather than guessing, it could potentially save you from a knackered engine.
  7. If the belt was just replaced perhaps they tighten an aux belt up to tight and killed a bearing.
  8. Blitz SUS (cos I have one) or Apexi
  9. PTU is a favour for non start, are you sure the tank had run dry?
  10. Sound like a bearing to me, fingers crossed its not a cambelt pulley.
  11. A magazine wont touch a story like that in the same way this forum is not allowed to, its political correctness gone mad when you can make others aware and they fall into the same trap !
  12. Sorry to hijack but it is on topic. Does anyone have a nice simple diagram for the wiring on the drivers and passengers window switches?
  13. Hmmm, you lot are posh, you even seem to have the internet in your kitchens so the little ladies can surf !!
  14. To answer what is best I would say Veilside, BB, Alunox but if your asking for within a budget then I doubt you will get any of those !! On a side note, nice to see my shed has made a return to the forum !!!!

Your choices are break it, scrap it, sell it or repair it !! choose the one that best suits you and go for it !!! BTW I know the one that makes most sense but we have covered that
  16. Sky+ Top Gear and watch Top Gear in case you want to see it again !! buy the misses a portable to watch in the kitchen !! the chain should not be long enough to escape that room anyway !!
  17. I have no idea how it gets there but the creeping crack cure is the best way, my bottle of the stuff was doing the rounds but I believe it went missing by some helpful member, if you search there was some pictures posted once of fuse board and relays from the drivers footwell that had water damage so I guess thats were the water goes if you dont have the A pillar pods.
  18. Leaking targa seals, seen it many times where the water collects on the A pillar pods because of that.
  19. Not seen those specific ones but I would be very surprised if there is a low petrol warning light on them.
  20. Personally I dont see a need nor would I want to suck the dregs out of the bottom of the tank so I refill sometime soon after the needle goes past the last quarter.
  21. The little petrol pump symbol will light up, it also has a needle which gives you a clue how much is left ! I personally would not recommend leaving it so late . :)
  22. Yes I am still in pocket, I had worked it out to be about that price in import duty although you still keep your fingers crossed it might be forgotten !
  23. Placed the order Monday morning and the parts arrived this morning all the way from the good ol US of A, But £88.11 import duty .. money the government gets for doing absolutely nothing, what a rip off.
  24. Leathered ... definately a ghey term ... I think Stella is trying to admit to using those high rate chat lines where you get to meet hung hunkz in your area !!
  25. Mmmm, my dream dates !
