  1. It has been done, this is the only thread I could find but I am sure I have seen pictures on here of a red zed with the swage lines all filled as well. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=100648&highlight=bumper+swage

  4. I bought a Mondeo last year that was a CatD, it required the VIC check as do all CatD, Vehicle Identity check, as the name sugests it is just an identity check to make sure its the car you say it is, it took about 15 minutes to do, had to travel to Norwich for mine.
  5. Essentially its just a vehicle identity check so you cant rely on this being done shows a good repair but I guess if they thought it was dangerous they would not let you drive it away.
  6. I prefer that to the Porsche you posted before, certainly would not rule out a car just because its a catD as long as I had photographic proof of what the damage was and showing stages of the repair.
  7. Looks 100% better without the spoiler in my opinion.

  12. Smell would be the easiest way, gearbox oil has a very distinct smell.
  13. We are without doubt a nosey bunch, I of course only viewed this thread to tell you all that, I am in no way nosey !!
  14. I should think that metal flap is still in there, just gummed up, perhaps a few sprays with penetrating fluid and putting the key in a few times might help release it?
  15. Happy birthday, have a good un !!
  16. I have never heard of a car being impounded by a recovery company, I would say "I am having to pay for the mechanics lost time so will be forwarding the bill to you!" the threat of extra costs usually gets them moving again.
  17. This wont be a great deal of help I guess but there is a company on Martlesham Ind Est nr Ipswich that did mine a few years ago, I can not remember the name or find the receipt I am afraid, next time I am there I will take a look for them.
  18. This better be good, thats three times I have checked this thread to find nutting !!!!!!!:rant::rant::rant:
  19. I think you upset it with the offer of chocolate, its mum and dad probably pooped on your car so lock it back up for a few months.

  24. Thats pretty much what I had for a short list, estate models for me, I spent about 3 months looking and gave up, not able to find a good example in my price range.
  25. You could move down here, lovely part of the country !! Sounds like I will be at the mercy of an MOT tester then, better find one that smiles and likes big red noisey cars !!
