  1. With the 740s you've got all the headroom you'll ever need with stock turbos. The amount of air they can flow will never require an upgraded fuel pump, FPR or dual intake, but there is of course nothing wrong with fitting these items. With regards to drivability of the theoretical set up, that's a difficult one to answer as it's so subjective and dependent heavily on the maping side of things and boost control. With the turbos as the limiting fator, you would still have a very responsive powerful car. I'm fitting a FMIC and dual short intakes this Friday on my own Zed and will get it on the dyno to see the difference and how much airflow has changed. It won't be a dual-MAF set up, but it doesn't need to be. If I get chance I'll replace the stock exhaust & cats with free flowing items and see how much the stock Auto turbos are really capapble of, power-wise. I will be fitting an adjustable FPR at this point to get more out of the stock injectors. I would expect to add 20-30 bhp & 10-20 lbft. For an idea of mapping costs take a look HERE and drop me a PM :)
  2. Oh boy, it looked so good in that video, why on Earth did the interior get completely ruined? According to the video, it was pushing 260kw at the rear wheels. Which is 348.7whp. Which is only 6hp more than my lowly Auto
  3. Great stuff fellow Leicester-dweller, look forward to it  Cheers :thumbup1: Got a couple of quick threads up in the new section giving details, genreal info & current prices.
  4. Wow.... That comes in at a shade over £52k. For that kind of money it would need to be a genuine 1000+bhp internationally-recognised proven time attack car built by Nismo themselves. Pretty sure the Jun Super Lemon R34 went for a lot cheaper than that, I'd bet that in the UK it wouldn't fetch 1/6th of the price he's asking. Absolutely love the engine bay though. Quite like the MR2 rear hatch conversion as well :blushing:
  5. Just like to say a big "Thank You" for the welcome and looking forward to releasing the true potential of many a Zed :cool3: Will get to work on my new section ASAP. I'm based in the Midlands though I'm afraid Harby300
  6. Heavy, complicated, poor airflow, relatively expensive and time-consuming to fix when it breaks. They do go sideways well, but there are much easier choices out there (S13/S14, E30/E36 etc).
  7. I'd say that it is a lot of condensation, but it does look quite thick. What does the smoke smell of? If it has a sweet smell, it will be coolant. If it doesn't really smell of much, it's just condensation. Did it eventually stop? Don't worry about the 'afterburner effect', mine does it. Looks pretty cool in all fairness
  8. Hello & welcome. Use Photobucket for pics :)
  9. Lol, yeah. Slight senior moment there. Internal diameter of the turbo intake hose is 70mm. MAF is 80mm but 3" fits just fine.
  10. It varies a bit depending on the domestic market and corresponding ECU, and from manual to auto of course. UK TT Auto is 750 rpm between 60°C & 90°C JDM TT Auto 900 rpm between 60°C & 70°C and 700 rpm between 75°C & 90°C These are the target idle speeds as set by the ECU. His idle is spot on.
  11. Let's hope it sells at that price within a reasonable timeframe, would be good to see prices start to rise due to desirability and not rarity.
  12. Anyone know the dimensions of the pipes? I know the MAF diameter is 3", just wondering about the inner diameter of the turbo intake piping (elephant trunk) and the bend angle of the silicon reducers. From pics they look to be about 50mm and 45° respectively. Cheers.
  13. I remember years ago being on a waiting list for a council garage whilst I rented a couple privately. You have to wait for people to die. Think I moved up the list one space in 2 years, and that was only because I found out where one of the tenants lived... :gun_bandana: If it was possible to rent multiple garages from the local council for less than £10 per month, surely they would all be taken already. All mine are usually occupied and I barely advertise them, just a half-assed ad on Gumtree every month or so. Lot more expensive than £10 a month, too
  14. Defo! All my PCs still run XP, the only thing that doesn't is my main mapping laptop which is on Vista. 'Cos I was lazy and couldn't be bothered to install XP.
  15. Nice one mate, they look spot on. Had a set in my old S13, I loved them. That car is amazing, big plans for next year? TOTB again no doubt?
  16. Pearl Yellow is my favourite colour for Zeds, I've only ever seen two so I'm guessing they're quite rare. But then I also loved the Gold metallic & two-tone green/grey 200SX S13s. White S14s too...
  17. Nice one buddy, and you're only up the road! Get some pics up :) Pod for DWYB or RWYB? I'm with you on the 'going-not-showing', mine looks as standard as you can get ;)
  18. On the hunt again eh mate? Dig yourself a pit in one of my garages
