  1. Just had a glance through the T&Cs: Read Vehicle Servicing Obligations - Clause 2. and prior to that there is a note about imported vehicles... make sure that you've given them a manufacture date, not registration date from you V5 if its an import... The car must be completely stock - no filters, chips, etc etc Exploratory work is not covered - e.g. the garage start stripping down to find a fault not covered - then you're liable for costs incurred, as well as having it all put back together. Rich
  2. Ok, well good luck with it..!
  3. Have you checked the small print?? Seen this before - you'll need FSH (prob with Nissan or an approved specialist) and there's usually an age limit on the car - check, if it's an import, that they know that otherwise the date of registration will just be the import date... Although, for that money it's not a bad deal just for breakdown and battery cover!

  5. Ages since I removed mine - but I do remember it was stuck fast... best thing to do is not remove the nut completely - stops the wheel smashing you in the face! Also, instead of trying to pull it straight off, try hitting it on each side to try and shock it off.
  6. Apparently not - I know some n/a's didn't have it, not sure about TTs tho...
  7. It's pointing at the rear view mirror!! I'm more of a reader... and before anyone says, I know I need to re-sub... it's far too annoying when I click links that go to the members area to carry on for much longer!!
  8. you can without the cruise control ecu ;)
  9. depends what you want the car for... if you're not bothered about comfort/ noise then all the soundproofing, obviously a massive saving with aftermarket seats, carbon bonnet is no saving over standard, fiberglass wings... actually, if you search there is a list of things to remove and their weights - may have been posted by getgreddy...
  10. should technically fail if the inspector notices it's decatted, but as the car's not on the database it only has to pass a standard cat emissions test... and you might be lucky!!
  11. basically yes - the offsets are different, as are the mounts on the rear caliper though so they're not interchangeable... hth Rich
  12. If the coolant's boiling after only a few minutes idle then there's something wrong - why's it getting so hot off boost? Have you pressure checked your cooling system?
  13. cold tyres?? 888s need quite a bit of heat in them...
  14. think you mean these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/90-96-Nissan-300ZX-Skyline-R32-Low-Springs-Coilovers_W0QQitemZ120347191734QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item120347191734&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 wouldn't bother really, not that I've ever used them! Why not try custom lowering springs? I'm sure MJP can supply them...
  15. just check the legality where you're heading... hefty fines in some countries, and they're wise to GB car carrying them!!
  16. to hire?? or do they only hire accesories? only other thing i can think if is a roofing co or a cavity wall co - they'll probably use them in their sales spiel... but that's the problem, unless you can get one recommended who you'd consider to do the work?
  17. There's a place in bedford... http://www.thermascan.co.uk/assets/ir-camera-hire.html other than that, you could probably try a local surveyor - they probably have contacts for new building assesments etc, or local council - i'm sure they check their buildings to meet some european regulations! Or, do you know anyone in the fire brigade? You could ask them to have a look when they're passing!
  18. well try it and see - i'm sure you will lose boost though... the valve isn't designed to vent to atmosphere; i.e. it will flutter.
  19. haha - Si, you've been "out-picked"!!
  20. I can't remember the ins-and-outs, but no - i think it's to do with the spring pressure not being sufficient... you end up with a boost leak. Rich
  21. I guess Stu's not about at the minute, so I'll jump in... can be done from inside the car - need to remove centre console and gaitor then it should be pretty obvious: go through the gears and you'll see it opening up in some... pretty easy to do. Rich
  22. if i were you, driving in this weather, i'd stick some temporary ones on - if someone goes up the back of you it's just an easy get out for their insurance co not to pay...
  23. do you mind me asking who you're insured with? I had a problem with mine being insured as uk spec - fortunaltely i realised when i got the docs, but would rather get a quote from an insurer who (seemingly) doesn't take the p on imports!! rich
  24. yep - they 'lose a couple' when in safety boost! As for standard boost being 'crap' it's not the first word that springs to mind... I've got a feeling you're about to find out that your car's not been running properly...!
