  1. Happy birthday for yesterday Dave - hope you had a good one mate! Richard
  2. A belated happy birthday Ian - hope you had a great day mate! Richard
  3. Whilst I'm a fair few miles form the coast (about as far inland as one can be in the UK, almost), I reckon a run down to the Sussex coast is long overdue.... Might have to get a few more of us Home Counties dwellers down for a sea-side meet.....
  4. Happy birthday Mike - hope all's safe and well with you mate! Richard
  5. And another oldie...…
  6. I thought I'd kick this off again tonight...…
  7. Of course - I thought I recognised it. It's a lovely example for sure
  8. Yup - what Gary said..... Lovely looking late-spec Zed
  9. Congratulations to you too Steve - have a great day mate!
  10. ….Of marriage! Today Julia and I celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Normally we'd be on holiday, however this year that's not possible. Nonetheless I did manage to purchase a couple of lobsters and some scallops - so I conjured up my own anniversary sea food dinner. Washed down with alcohol..... A local beer (Malt brewery) to start, a bottle of Bollinger with the main event and lastly a generous serving of Gunpowder gin with a light desert. Must be my age, as I'm feeling a little sleepy now. But if I could turn back time, I'd still not change a thing
  11. They would have been - but the Covid19 has pandemic has seriously effected McLaren. 1200 lay-offs is only the start; existing staff are having to reapply for their jobs; and whilst the news currently says only 70 employees from their 800-strong F1 operation are at risk, there could be worse to come.?
  12. Hey Jeff - welcome back mate! Hope all's well; and thanks for the plug clarification
  13. I had mine painted on - satin black, to match my colour choice for the moustache
  14. Seconded - and yes; I also read the article concluding that the writers favoured the Zed as well. The final summing up beginning with "and here's the clincher" settled it for me
  15. Cool - great news Lee.... :-)
  16. Today, nothing.... I wanted to have a nice, relaxing BH Monday in the sunshine. However yesterday, after a week of Zed-usage, I gave it a nice wash and a coating of Purple Haze wax. I thought I'd try this Dodo Juice product - I mean, any wax named after a Jimi Hendrix track must be worth a punt It's lovely stuff - a soft wax, made for blue, black and purple cars. I was pretty impressed after trying it on the Merc last weekend, so treated the Zed yesterday. I took a few picks of my Blue Babes in the sunshine, so will share on a separate thread. But if you have a blue, black or purple Zed, then give it a go - I highly recommend it
  17. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-64096-ngk-pfr6b-11-4014-laser-platinum-spark-plug-sparkplug-dual-platinum-electrodes.aspx?VariantID=79725&vehicleid=9601&yearfilter=1994&providerpartid=10729690&genericpartid=686&providerpartlinkid=10729706&partsgroupid=100151&genericpartname=Spark Plug Opie Oils stock them - Zcentre may also have some.
  18. Nice one Driv3meto - thank you indeed for your support!
  19. I agree - and getting it to Sir Jimmer is just what the doctor ordered.... Good luck with the resto mate; I look forward to the updates
  20. I'm no expert, but I do believe you can also buy the OEM knock-sensor harness. If it were me, I'd replace the existing harness with the OEM item, rather than splicing in my own wiring. Not that it can't be done, but due to sensor location etc., I'd feel happier knowing that I'd replaced everything possible, just so I'd not have to go back and take everything apart again
  21. I did discuss the possibility of a 2020 AGM with Craig the other weekend - as I have (or rather I've borrowed) an idea for a last minute venue.... Hatton County World, in Warwickshire - https://hattonworld.com/ Only in the event, of course, that the lockdown restrictions are relaxed sufficiently enough to permit a car meet. As said, I have kind of stolen the idea; but it does fit the bill - central(ish) enough geographically, other attractions on site (albeit not car-related), to provide interest for partners and families. I shall make enquiries and report back!
  22. Highly deserved...…..
  23. LOL - what Steve said...... There were car spares shops and market stalls all over the place, selling this kind of tat when I started driving...… Fortunately they all went out of business or moved on to better things a long time ago.!!!
