  1. I read about this in FHM whilst waiting for my new tyres to be fitted. A guy called Mark from Essex has built himself a replica of KITT and it looks pretty good............... http://www.markskitt.co.uk Richard

Welcome to the forum. If you want Azevs the best place is DT Motorsport - they are the UK importers of Azev wheels and their prices are probably the best in the UK. Talk to Dave, he knows his stuff and will order them direct from the factory drilled specifically to fit a ZX. http://www.dtmotorsport.co.uk Richard
  3. Normally  my ZX behaves like this too. On cold mornings the boost guage needle goes way over 10psi and in the 30 degrees on Friday it sat just on 9psi. That was on 95ron fuel too. I have once or twice experienced safety boost (7psi on guage) in hot weather - happened once or twice last summer on hols after hard fast driving - but switching to Optimax for the next fill-up solved this. I have an almost stock UK car - only mods are filter and exhaust. Richard
  4. Welcome back mate  Wish you a speedy recovery, Richard
  5. ditto :smash: The only thing worse than reality TV shows are the vacuous morons who watch them, then talk about it as if it were a life changing event for them :slap: What more proof do we need that society has slipped so far down the cr@pper and we have to pander to the lowest common denominator. I rarely watch TV at all now because if it's not cheap reality shows it's fekking soaps full of more vacuous morons screaming at each other. Even the once decent shows have been dumbed or watered down to be more PC and this fekking government won't scrap the TV license fee  BBC obviously stands for Blair's Bum Chums - I expect most of them are or have been ;) Richard :nono:
  6. Great news, Jay  Sounds like she is recovering nice and quickly. Best wishes to you both, Richard
  7. 5 out of 6 - there was no "cubical" option so I guess 6 is impossible
  8. I go with this opinion too - keep the before Richard
  9. I think you have to remove the plenums, so yes it's a pretty big job mate Richard
  10. I'm not surprised Mark  I nearly always use my ZX for holidays - the most I've driven is 2000 miles in a week and it's never missed a beat yet (he says just finding some wood to touch - I'm off to Cornwall on 4th June.....) I don't take it easy either - New year's eve 2003 I drove the 254 miles to Boscastle in 2 hours 35 mins. My best time ever.... That's another reason I love the ZX Richard
  11. That's about it......H to M reg (although M reg rare - still a few L's though) There were the odd 89 or G plated Uk cars but most early ones were H after Aug 1990. Richard
  12. And you can convert it into a time machine  (Unless hollywood has lied to me again.......) Richard
  13. Ha ha, I remember that one - only 1 series though wasn't it? Pretty good though - a judge who went after real criminals who escaped jail on a technicality. Now there's an idea ;) Richard :p
  14. Looking good Richard, very good  Best colour too  Richard ;)
  15. Another "txt-tlk" kid  English, please, if you don't mind. Us oldies find it harder to read otherwise :smash: But as you asked: 2000 Rav-4 GX swb in black 2000 Corsa sport 1.4 16v in electric blue metalic (Julia's every day transport) And of course the ZX which is being used more frequently again now the winter is over  Richard
  16. Money no object, I'd chose a DB9   (or maybe an XJ220  ) Realistically I have thought about an XKR or a TVR Cerbera but the Trevor has reliability issues from what I can gather and around here in South Buckinghamshire the XKR is as common as a Ford in Essex :wack: Plus pound for pound the XKR is not really worth the money when compared to the ZX, so I guess I'll probably keep it a bit longer (although I have been tempted by the 350Z recently :nelson: )......... Richard :o
  17. Has to be The Professionals  Very un-PC, plenty of voilence guns and cars screeching round corners on their door handles. The RS2000 and Capri never looked so good ;) Loved it - that's why I have a few series in vid/DVD :nana2: Richard :D

I had Mintex pads when I first upgraded to 3G Brembo slotted discs. They only lasted for 5-6000 miles  And the dust made my alloys look black after 2 days. I haven't used Porterfields but many here rate them v. highly. I currently have the Stillen Metal pads from Mike Feeney (MJP in traders section) and they are excellent. They stop the car very well from 3 figure speeds, make little noise and there's no fade either - all for around £55+vat/delivery. No serious dust problem either. Richard :smw: PS EBC are crap ;)
  19. Found this on Ebay. £5,100 - could ZX prices be improving? Doesn't look a bad example, except for the mis-matched rear lights and that fekking awful headlight panel treatment :hurl: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18238&item=4550547347&rd=1 Richard
  20. Please remind me if this is a known problem on the ZX...... ......every so often I have a pool of brake fluid in my garage under the car, right below the master cylinder. I top up the fluid and it is fine for weeks, no leak at all, then suddenly the pool re-appears and the level is down a couple of cms  I asked my mechanic to look at it 2 weeks ago and he found nothing wrong. Typical. He topped it and told me to call him if it leaks again. It didn't....... ........until this morning :headvswal Richard :x:
  21. Always loved the A team and Knightrider. I voted for Knightrider in the end just because it was about a car ;) :hyper: 6 Million Dollar man was cool too, but more in the 70s though - I wanted to be Steve Austin when I was 6-7 years old (1977). I remember getting my hair cut like him too... :x: Still I guess the punishment for that was premature baldness :mac1: Richard ;)
  22. Hi Robert I have to agree with this, like you say first the 330d then an S3  S3 is 225bhp just like the Audi TT and we can all stuff them even in a stock auto Z32tt. It could be a boost leak somewhere or maybe your right foot isn't heavy enough? Richard :smw:
  23. Michael Ryan should have tried that excuse - he wouldn't have had to shoot himself then :wack: Richard :x:
  24. I bought the Blue Flame jobbie from Ebay for £350 - very chuffed with it  It looks close enough to stock but nicer, sounds good and is top quality. it's a deeper sound, not too loud, there's more of a rumble when pulling from still and its a little louder at 1500-2000rpm. Richard
