I wonder if??
Surely a de-turbo'd TT engine would have less power than a stock N/A owing to the lower compression of the turbo engine?? Still cheaper to buy a low cost daily driver and keep the ZX for fun. Richard :)

how much oil?
Oh, and with a filter change my UK spec TT takes just under 4 litres to reach the full mark. Richard :)

how much oil?
Mine hardly ever uses any oil - I don't think I've ever topped up with more than 1/4 of a litre of oil and that was after 2000 miles of mostly hard driving in hot weather. 1/2 a litre per 500 miles does sound excessive - turbo or cylinder problems perhaps? Richard :)

Well, this is what I finally bought!
Stick some blue stobes in the front bumpers and you've got a nice un-marked police car.......... :smash: Still a lot of cay for the money though, and you've kept with the 3.0 v6 theme. Nice one. Richard :)

When I put my DIY-99 spec ones on, I sold the standard ones for £40 (+p&p) on here. They were in v good condition too. You can buy a pair of brand new 99-spec ones for £200+vat from Luke @ Z-Centre (excl. the centre panel) HTH Richard

Hi im new and need help already!
Hi Benny Just my opinion, but that red TT on Ebay (middle one) doesn't look like a 75K mile car to me judging by the condition of the seats and steering wheel. take your time and find a good one as when these cars go wrong you'll need a few grand in reserve. That said, find a good one and it will be reliable. Richard

Speeding
I've had this with company car drivers at work. We own the cars and are the registered keeper on the V5. I have had at least 3 this year where the NIP is actually dated more than 2 weeks after the offence let alone the extra 3 days grace for postage delays. Each time I've written to Thames Valley Piglet as a director of the company, politely pointing this out (although I still gave the drivers' names as required by law) and respectfully asking that the NIP be cancelled. So far 100% success rate..... Richard

Have you noticed much difference ...
I only have the stock guage but it didn't get past half way, even at 120 mph. It has been over that - when I had a leaky water pump and poncy little front hoses it would go up past 3/4 when stuck in traffic on a hot day. Now they have been fixed it normally runs under 1/2 but never goes above it. Richard

How much oil?
Always found exactly 4 litres with a filter change to be spot on. Richard

wheels
Plus the ZX had large front brake calipers so clearance is a major issue. Azev wheels can be ordered direct from the factory to fit a ZX. Try http://www.dtmotorsport.co.uk If you ring, ask for Dave - he knows his stuff and will give you a good price. Richard

Tyre size for 18" wheels
You need 235/40/18 front and 255(or 265)/35/18 rear to keep the same rolling dimensions and ensure your speedo/ABS work properly. Richard
