  1. Whilst collecting my Zed from Jimmer's, I met Si there - he clearly has plans for returning to the Zed fraternity... But I think a few months away have changed him a little........?
  2. I know Andrew - yet whilst I read this all the time, I do wonder just who they are asking..... I may be courting controversy, but (1) I'm not 100% convinced these surveys really represent the majority of thinking and (2) I believe we have been conditioned, or rather have had the living shit scared out of us this last year, to make us all fearful and compliant... Or (3) have they all been furloughed since April, sitting on their arses earning (sorry, receiving) 80% of their pay for doing nothing - and have got quite comfortable with that....? Whilst, as Naz says, there are still the obvious idiots who continue to flout rules and show no regard for others' wellbeing. I agree that we need to protect the vulnerable, but for the vast majority of people, the virus is not fatal - it's just a few days feeling a bit rough, with a cough and fluctuating fevers. We've had six cases in the office since November, and they all have been just that. I have had a couple of tests myself - after being in contact with those people - and both, fortunately, were negative. I truly believe it's time to start putting the country's economic survival above the virus. We must all assess our own risk - and the risk to our loved ones - be sensible, social distance, wear face coverings, not congregate en-mass, continue to sanitise, etc. Life still has to go on - we can't keep locking down the country; did it work in November....? No, it didn't - otherwise we would not be thinking of another lockdown now.
  3. Today, I collected my Zed from Jimmer's - freshly serviced and MOT'd, with no advisories this time.... Because Jim had installed nice new rear brake lines and inner HICAS joints. Thanks again Jim, you're a star mate!! Plus it was a nice surprise to see Funky Si there too - good to see you again Si.....!
  4. Whilst there is (or rather was) clearly a lot of investment in that car, it is no beauty!!
  5. .....Surely not, but he's dead right https://uk.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-criticises-uk-tier-4-lockdown-091341565.html In my humble opinion, of course..... The cure cure should never be worse than the actual problem ?
  6. Very nice Lee - and a real shame you can't collect it now.....? I know we have to control this disease and save lives, but it seems we are letting the virus control us, rather than the other way round. Ministers are in the thrall of the scientists - who, in my personal opinion, have no idea what damage they are doing to the country.
  7. Sunny here too.... I gave my other Z (the German one) a good wash and wipe down with Auto Finesse Glisten this morning. It looked great in the sunshine......☺️
  8. Awesome - and great video clip Andrew, thanks for sharing!!
  9. Yup - I spotted that too..... Nice touch? Hope all safe and well with your and family mate, long time no see!!
  10. .......On the forum that is ? Nice work Lee - very festive mate. Heaven knows, we need something to lighten the mood and get us into the Christmas spirit?
  11. Andrew, you beat me to it.... I got mine today as well and duly spotted Gary's car. I missed the June connection though Gaz, so it is certainly very appropriate!! Nice one mate....?
  12. It does indeed - nice work mate!!
  13. LOL - not even run in... ? Mine is still going strong - I'm at 118k miles now, so almost 50k covered since I bought it from you. I need new rear brake pipes for the MOT this year, plus there's a little play in the inner HICAS joints. Add an oil change and new front brake pads, it will be all set for enjoying in 2021.
  14. Hi Phil - long time no speak. Hope all's well..! I did indeed see the collectors Z there and I'm so glad to see you still have it!! How many miles has it done now?
  15. Nicely set up for social distancing Ian.....?
  16. LOL - I will mate... It suits the SWB better? And you're not wrong, that's going to be a lovely car when it's finished!!!
  17. I saw yours there Andy - both the old and new versions.... New body looks good mate and I love that larger incarnation of the OEM spoiler, it really suits the car!!
  18. Today I drove mine down to Bristol - and left it with Jimmer, so he could sort a couple of bits....? I'm impressed with Jimmer's new unit, plus it's so much easier to get to - only two minutes from M4 junction 18!!
  19. LOL - so I wasn't mistaken then.....?
  20. I believe so. I had the fuel tank and straps replaced on both my Zeds - one by JeffTT and the other by my local garage. And neither ever removed the sub-frame to do it?
  21. I had a similar - albeit intermittent - issue with my heater last autumn. On those occasionally cold mornings, I found the heater only blew out cold air, yet later in the day, it worked fine. Then after Jimmer did a 120k service, cambelt, tensioners and a more significant to this thread, a new thermostat, the heater works fine once more.......?
  22. These ones....? Advan Racing Wheels alloys SIENA ROAD BATTLER 5 X 114.3 17" 300ZX 350Z MR2 SUPRA | eBay I'm sure they'll fit - but that flat spot would certainly put me off. I reckon you can find better wheels out there Chris!
  23. Yup - what he said.... .....I like the 996 and would definitely have one myself. I know 911 purists lament the air-cooled versions, but they weren't necessarily the most useable. I know of 993 owners having to pull over for a half hour break from a journey in the height of summer, to let the engine cool down. Sod that, if I have a journey to complete, I'd prefer to complete it. 996 all the way, I say.... ?
  24. Nice one mate - thanks for your support!!!
