  1. Me too - looks excellent!! Richard:cool:
  2. Good grief...... ....that's as bad as that Nissan Micra made up to look like a small MkII Jag:rofl: Richard:D
  3. Exactly what he said....... .......a 10mm spanner removes the 3 nuts and the whole unit comes away from the front bumper..... Noooo - see below! He's right again! Richard:cool:
  4. If he has an advert in the "for sale" section you are permitted to purchase from him..... .......But as Vodkashots says, subscribing is definitely worth the £20 mate! Richard:cool:
  5. Fronts should both be 21 inches. I'm not sure abouth the rear screen but it is quite a large area so at least 21 inches I'd say...... .......normally when I replace the fronts, I stick one of the old ones on the back as it usually has enough life left to do the occasional "bidet*" job:D Richard:) * bidet = rear wash/wipe; in case anyone didn't get it:rofl:
  6. Nicely said Andy. And whilst I shouldn't have to say it, I hope you don't mind me reminding the other forum users that unsubscribed members are not permitted to trade. So to everyone else, please do not ask Andy.......! Richard:)
  7. I have to agree with both the above statements..... .....although I also like the 456GT;) Richard:cool:
  8. Looks good mate - you've done a nice job there I reckon:bow: I don't know about buying an electric polisher though - as the old saying goes, you can't beat a good hand job...... Richard:mac1:
  9. Heh heh - I'll take that as a compliment Craig;) Richard:p
  10. Ahhh; the Old Spice advert:p I grew up with this as my dad played the whole LP to death.....;) Richard:cool:
  11. I keep a small weights bar (with the screw-clamp attached) under the bed and a sword in the hall just in case - a throw-back from when I lived in East London:rofl: Touch wood; I haven't had any call to use either of them - but then I live in a nice part of semi-rural Buckinghamshire nowadays;) Richard:)
  12. Brilliant:rofl: Soooo glad I haven't posted any pics of me on here...... .....or have I..:wack:????? Richard:tongue:
  13. Very nice....... .......now you've got me thinking about it; my favourite opera number is "Caruso." It reminds me of sitting in a little trattoria in Rome; chianti in hand washing, down a meal of "saltimbocca alla romana" ........:hyper: Richard:)
  14. Heh heh - we know about the first bit Allan; you've posted pics remember:rofl: Richard:tongue:
  15. I didn't bother with that.....;) ......I separated the plug from the loom; which connects the loom to the short cable that goes through the rubber into the back of the headlamp. I then plugged the spade connectors (for the ballast packs) straight into the plug sockets in the loom and wrapped them well with insulating tape. Next I used a sharp knife to cut the small wires from the rubber light rear cover and fed the HID bulb cables through the hole. Once all in place; I filled the hole in the rubber light rear cap with silicone rubber and left it to harden. That may sound a lot; but it leaves more slack to the cables allowing more mounting options for the ballast packs! Plus it gives a nice OEM look! Richard:cool:
  16. The b@stards need their hands chopping off - they won't do it again:rant: Sorry to hear that mate... Richard:(

  18. That's a tidy job mate! I'm not into the "fake" CF trims but I have to say the real thing does look very good; even your experiment with the damaged stuff! Impressive..... Richard:)
  19. Exactly! The bulb base shape/pattern is the same for H3 and H3C so an H3 HID kit will fit both UK and J-spec cars. Richard:)
  20. In the post (yes, that's right - I've actually had some letters pop through my letterbox. Gosh, that takes me back.......:D) this morning I received a form P161 from another great institution; HM Revenue & Customs. For anyone not into their tax forms, it's a "pension coding form." One fills it in if one is in receipt of their pension and is likely to have extra tax to pay on it. It starts: "........Your tax code may need changing because you are nearing pension age and have started to/soon will receive a State pension or occupational pension................." Eh??? I'm 39 years old - I've got ages to go:slap: It even asks if I want the form in LARGE PRINT:rofl: Wonderful isn't it:o Richard;)
  21. I'd agree with that...... .......in times of recession one may expect robbery/burglary/general theft to increase. It may well increase slightly (as with crime in general) but if occurrences aren't increasing; then the great media gods will simply report as many cases of robbery as they can to give the impression it's on the rise:x: That also gives insurers an excuse to raise premiums on account of the "higher risk" Such a great world we live in nowadays........:o Richard;)
  22. Possibly that's because the dipped beam is a projector-type light which will work well with an HID bulb (Stadard fit HIDs on new cars are similar in appearance to projector beams). The main beam is a conventional reflector style lamp designed for a halogen bulb; so an HID conversion may well not ve worth it! Richard.
  23. Lots of folk go for the 6000k HIDs - they're slightly blue but any more than that and they will be too blue/purple and you'd lose night illumination. Most modern cars with HIDs fitted as standard are around 4300-5000k; more white than blue. I went for a 4300k conversion myself; but that was my preference! Richard:)
  24. That usually works for me...... Richard:D
